A Soulless dud of a hotel.
The room did not feature a refrigerator or ice bucket. The bed only had a thick quilt which was way too hot in the given weather (there was no top sheet at all!) the hallway carpet was a bit dingy in areas, the overall style and decor of the hallway was too industrial and jail-like or warehouse-like. Overall the hotel felt modern, ugly and soulless. Also, on the morning of checkout, I requested that the staff call a taxi for me to take me and my luggage to the station. I was told that there were NO TAXIS available for 40 minutes and I was informed that this is a common occurrence in Bern. I wish someone would have notified me of this fact prior to check-in. It would have been even better if the Hotel supplied a shuttle van to carry their guests to the airport or train station, which is a pretty common practice in United States Hotels but the folks in Bern do not do this. I would not stay there again.

Hotel is within a walkable distance to old Bern, bridge, bear cave, shopping and restaurants. They have big problem with parking so make sure they have available space if you drive car. They have roll in shower which was in a must for us and this time we were lucky with parking.
