So far, our best hotel in Japan.
The hotel is brand new on a quiet alley (no tour busses.) we actually had to walk in off a larger street for a short distance. We found it very convenient to Kyoto Station. Breakfast was tasty and was only busy our last day when several tours were present. The entire staff was most helpful, but we want to give a special thanks to Mr. Sugioka at the reception desk who was especially gracious about helping us secure dinner reservations, a must for many establishments. From One that specializes in eel, to a tiny place neighborhood restaurant, to our final elegant meal at Geisha Alley, Mr. Sugioka’s suggestions were excellent & he went to great pains to meet our various requests. Don’t miss Kyoto or this hotel. And do not miss the Silver Pavilion
