Way beyond expectation.
Didn't expect much for just one night in Male, but this hotel went beyond my expectation. The staff is very friendly. They offer free pickup and dropoff services from/to airport (they also help contact the resort hotels to confirm seaplane schedule, etc). Most impressive thing - the staff personally lead us to the room on 8th floor, and then found that the room key has some problem. In order not to let us wait for too long, he didn't wait to take the elevator, but walked down the stairs all the way to the first floor. The room is simple but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very delicious.

great choice in Male
Complimentary airport pick up and drop off, service is above and beyond. The room is nice and clean, wifi is fast. less than 10 minutes from the airport. It is a great go-between choice before you arrive in one of Maldives islands. We arrived late so no more island transfers. It is a perfect hotel to stay in Male. Breakfast is also excellent as well.

Good!
Booked 10 mins before getting on the flight due to flight cancellations, but this hotel was a true gem. Bed very comfortable. They have free airport transfers for whenever you need to go/be picked up, staff are very friendly and efficient, room is modern and clean with all the essential toiletries you need (toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner etc). Breakfast selection was small but excellent made to order omelettes. Lots of restaurants and shops around, close to sea and airport. Only cons were: no blackout curtains, and the soundproofing wasnt great (building works nearby started early and finished late).

Excellent overnight stay!
Hotel was perfect for a 1 night stay after arriving into Male before travelling onwards to our island destination the next day. The hotel is super easy to get to. Either by the hotel airport taxi or via the water taxi, which is located outside. We opted for the water taxi which is only $1 person and drops you into Male. The hotel is then a very short 2 min walk away. We arrived to a welcome drink and cold towels. Our rooms were available early and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and tidy and a very good size. There was plenty of amenities available and free water. The breakfast the next day was a selection of fresh fruit and pastries as well as a small selection of hot food including an omelette station with a chef. Overall for the price paid the hotel was perfect for what we needed. Would recommend and stay here again if back in Male. The only slight negative was that there was building work in the area at the time. This is not the hotels fault but did mean that if you were looking to stay in bed longer than based 8am. You would likely be disturbed.

The staff was friendly but hotel conditions can be improved. No hot water in the shower in the morning. Also the room was clean but low quality.Staff tried to help but we were waiting for our luggage to bring to the room for ages. Also staff had organized very late departure to our next destination and we lost couple hours of our holidays.Breakfast was excellent above the expectations. We came at midnight to hotel 6 hours to sleep reasonable price to pay compare to other hotels.

The Marukab Plaza hotel is beautiful. If you need somewhere to stay close to Malé airport look no further. It is only 5-7 minute drive away. The staff was waiting to pick us up. They were so friendly and gracious. There is also a Chicking restaurant just a 5 minute walk down the street from the hotel.
