The location was really good (near metro and train station).
-s: I found having an open bathroom a tad strange and there was only 1 charging spot (which you could only use by removing the table lamp). Tad tiny.
+s: 24 hours reception with staff who spoke English - very unusual for Spain. In retrospect, I wish I had booked all my nights here. Clean room (far better than most hostels), hair dryer and an excellent shower. Refrigerator and good kitchen. Friendly, helpful staff (who unlike at other hostels could provide all the information in English). Excellent location right by the Callou metro stop, one stop from Sol train station and super easy to find (without going through many winding streets which is important when you are a tourist and arriving at odd hours.) Bars, restaurants are around, and close to the Madrid Flamenco Theater. Opposite the police station and so, safe too. After staying here and at other Lonely Planet reviewed hotels in Madrid, I would rate this far higher than the LP reviewed ones.
