We've stay here numerous times and always very happy with the location of the hotel to the grocery stores and to town for restaurant experiences. We'll be staying here again

The pool is a selling point of this property. The food is nothing to get excited about. The mexican night was the best food and entertainment night of the week. I miss the days you could order food pool side chair. They now have a limited menu and you have to sit at a table to order food for lunch or go to ther side for buffet style.

A $10 ride to town. No restaurants nearby...must go to town. Hotel level is 2/5 stars. Dive Paradise is on-site. Hotel is actually ACROSS STREET FROM BEACH...you walk under the street in a tunnel to get there

I LOVE the hacienda style courtyard and pool. Very safe for little ones. Loved the addition of the bicycles-great for exercise. Eating breakfast while overlooking the ocean is a favorite. I like the tunnel under the busy street and the dive shop on the property is so convenient. One question: why did you remove the ladder into the water next to the pier?
Judy, 6-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I really like the facility, size of the pool and what I like was the option to ocean access. We had breakfast included and really worth it, a lot options of food we were really pleased with the breakfast. With the bicycle I recommend better maintenance or buy a new ones. For the rest we were happy with the staying in the hotel.

Food and drinks were not that good.

4/10 Fair

Room air conditioning worked well. Breakfast was good, very noisy though even when only half full. Balcony lights are on which keep the room lit until 10:05pm automatically is ridiculous with no control from room, curtains don’t stop the light. Shower head clogged and sprayed everywhere, shower didn’t drain well, deck door did not open without enough force to injure an arm….which happened, only opened 2-3 feet before completely jammed. No cups in the room, water dispensers in the hallway frequently empty, tiled floors down hallway extremely loud when any house keeping or guests roll luggage past.
John, 4-night trip

The staff as a whole was very unattentive and acted as is they were being annoyed when asked anything. The rooms were no where close to a 1 or 2 Star hotel much less the 4 star they state to have. Bed were very hard and clumpy. I awoke sore every morning and the sheets must be a 400 thread they are very rough. The room that i was in looked as though they just kept throwing paint on it without scraping or taping. Room has not not been remodeled or refurbished in a very long time. The pastel yellow and green curtains say it all plus the spotted and cracked mirror

Left room service plates in the hallway. Some workers are very good at their jobs some are just here. The people who booked the adventure trips at the hotel tried to charge us an extra $20 and when we asked for our $170 back the guy had to pull $20 out of his wallet. When we originally looked online to book it was $90 a night but booked a week later and it was $1400 for 8 nights because a conference came in so watch when you book. Double rooms has dressers, nightstands and tables but a king room has 1 stand, 1 suitcase rack, nightstands and a hammock so really no place to put your things. Rooms has a refrigerator, safe and 4 clothe hangers. Air works well. Some shade on beach across the street. Not really a kid friendly beach. About a 15 minute walk to town. 10 minute walk to grocery store. Breakfast was fantastic, ordered salads one night and it was drowning ind dressing. Hamburgers were precooked and flank steak had strange seasoning and potatoes were strange taste and texture.
Michelle, 7-night trip

6/10 Good

Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name associated with this property. Staff are great, very clean. Beds are barely above Motel 6 quality. The foam mattress pads are too mushy. No refrigerators normally. You have to ask for one and pay 50 dollars a day that is stocked with beer and drinks. Or 25 a day for just the refrigerator. To the hotel's credit, they did put one in our room when I told them I needed one to store medication and did not charge me. The bathroom is so far out of date it's pitiful. It is a tub/shower combo that doesn't have a fixture for running water in the tub, only a shower head. The main problem is access to the tub.The tub wall is better than 2 feet off the ground. Short people or infirm people will have a big problem getting into and out of the tub. The commode area is about 3 feet by 3 feet. Hardly any comfortable room in there. There was ample hot water and water pressure was great. The room a/c is a mini-split type that appeared fairly new. Worked very well cooling the room down after housekeeping would turn it up every day. We were busy most days away from the hotel so didn't enter the pool. Looked clean however. Best thing going is the free breakfast included, but it's typical buffet food. Cooked earlier and soggy by the time it's served. There is an open self serve bar for bloody marys and mimosas and the free parking is good if you have a rent car. To sum up, although we first stayed at this hotel in 1996, it's off our list in the future

Great place for a stay in Cozumel! "Older", but very clean and well kept. Great central pool, which is fantastic for our toddler who is learning to swim! The food was pretty good, we ate at the buffet for breakfast, beach club for lunch, and had room service at night. The coolest feature is the private beach club. There's a tunnel that connects the main property to to the beach, which was very cool! Plenty of Adirondack chair, lounges and hammocks, crystal clear water (watch the craps and sea urchins), and perfect sunset views. This was a really great place for a family stay.

Easy check-in and they let me store luggage as soon as I arrived so I could hope on a boat and go scuba diving. It was a great hotel with amazing beach and access to a clear ocean view of fish. You could snorkel and swim from the hotel property. The easy access to pier which allowed my fishing charter to pick me up right from pier. Super easy. I like the location, and the service was very good. The front desk helped me with a number of questions and knew the area and available activities well.

We have stayed at this property many, many times in the past. Unless some serious changes are made, this visit will be our last. Like dozens of times in the past, we called the hotel and asked for the best rate. They quoted their rack rate despite it being off season and we were staying a couple of weeks. At the last minute, just for fun, I checked the rate on Orbitz. ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS LESS PER NIGHT!! Are you kidding me??!! At check in we reminded them about adding Wyndham points to our account. They said “no. Something about the “computers” and “you booked with Orbitz”. Again, are you kidding me??!! The number 1 problem is how they destroyed the ocean view. I want to remind you, the reason why we are staying at a beachfront resort is to enjoy the view. The new structure of tables and chairs at the water’s edge is ridiculous. The only thing more idiotic is obnoxious sunbeds that liter the beachfront. We are not paying MORE to use these sunbeds. Curtains on these beds destroy what little view is left. They need to be moved BEHIND the chairs Because the palms grew over the years there is now no shade. No umbrellas other than a few tied up by tables. To make matters worse the beach area is now closed at night!! We came back at around 8 to sit on the beach and were asked to leave. Seriously? Please don’t respond with “I’m sorry”! We spent too much money for someone to just say “sorry”. We deserve some kind of refund because this was no vacation.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. I first came here 30 years ago, and they have really "upped their game", with a beautiful and large beach area, a great breakfast overlooking the ocean, and entertainment every night. I do wish they had a clothes cabinet of some sort, we had to put our clothes on the 2nd bed.
Andrew M, 7-night trip

The beach tunnel was much more convenient than I thought - staff was pleasant. There were additional fees charged that aren’t disclosed, if you aren’t an all-inclusive don’t expect the same treatment/hospitality from staff. Overall it was okay.
