Sydney experience
We booked Shangri La on this stay based on our wonderful experience the previous stays in other countries.
The room was great but I think the service was a little disappointing.
I had made coffee and the second day when I got back from the tour the coffee machine was not cleaned and the cups were not replaced .
Also I had flown in from far and sent a request asking if I was able to check in a few hours earlier . When I got in I had to wait for check in time . After a 22 hr flight I was exhausted and asked if there was any way to get a room earlier and was told only if I paid 80$ extra . I think some empathy would have been great . The room is ready already , getting extra money just to give a key few hours early in my thoughts did not seem right. Because we check out early we do not get a refund so same way we would hope for a little care especially when there is a room already available and you can see the customer has a valid reason for the ask.
Overall the hotel was great. Food was great.
