Great little place, convenient and cool
Don’t judge a book by its cover. We arrived late at night and the neighborhood was deserted, door to hotel was locked, lights were out. But night watchman let us in and our room and the place were lovely. Tastefully decorated, fresh-cooked breakfast, friendly personnel. Convenient to so much of historic Bogota. My only suggestion would be to get a room away from the elevator. The motors for the elevator are incredibly loud.

It isn’t a very nice hotel. The elevator was not working. The staff doesn’t speak English at all. And it is quite noisy

Comfortable family friendly hotel with good brekk
This was one of the better inexpensive hotels I've stayed at. Decent beds, enough linens, large room. It was quiet most nights as we were at the end of the hall, but once someone stayed next door, every noise from the hallway came under the door. So bring a noise machine! The staff at the restaurant were the best part, they were friendly, kind, and flexible. Included breakfasts were simple but a few nice options and nice Americanos. Location worked well for us as we wanted to walk around and sight see. We rarely feel unsafe generally when we're traveling but we felt comfortable walking around in a group or alone up til 9-10pm at night (we didn't go out past that!)

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good. The hotel is in a great location for seeing sights. The bed and pillows were the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. Very, very hard.

The staff at the hotel really make the difference, they are all very kind and willing to help. The owner is a very interesting person to talk to. I am very bad with names, but I think it's Eddy, always go the extra mile to help. It is a hotel museum, it is filled with arts which make it different from any others.

Unique property in a great location for accessing La Candelaria. Quiet rooms at back and great help from staff. Great breakfast included.

6/10 Good

Highly recommend, if it’s in autumn or winter that you not book for this property. There was a problem with the heated water when I was there and no heater was provided. Consequently, I had to deal with cold showers and a constantly cold room due to cold air permeating the room even though the windows were closed. Finally, the WiFi could have been better, as it had a habit of constantly buffering every few minutes. Otherwise everything was great.

2/10 Poor

The rooms are very cold. There is no way of heating the rooms. Also, the shower and water were lukewarm at best. So you get to take cold showers and then stay in cold rooms. I personally would never stay in this hotel again.

Love it!!
It was a rough beginning because I didn't realize there wouldn't be any heating system and so I was cold the first night. But the front desk gentlemen that works the late afternoon/evening shift went above and beyond to make my accommodations at pleasant as possible by checking up on me and my needs. He was very friendly and personable even though we had a language barrier. It was his work ethics that made me write this great review. The room was extremely spacious on the 6th floor. I had a great view. I also had a little side room with an extra bed. The bathroom was well kept. Great beddings and even came with a fridge and a couch area! I do must warn you. Every morning, staying at 6am, you can hear the ladies downstairs and the cafe. Is pretty apparent. So if you're a light sleeper, being eat plugs. Not so much street sounds which I'm surprised. Location is extremely convenient and safe. I recommend this place. I would stay here again if and when I come back to visit Bogota!!!!

I like that the property offers free breakfast and it’s walking distance to many landmarks but they have to be specific that it’s not the most scenic and safe location. It’s in the old historic district.

Good budget option
We liked most things about the hotel. It was a good price and located near many attractions. The staff were friendly, and the decor was cool. However, there was a lot of street noise at night since it's in a busy part of town, and we didn't have hot water.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The area is a fun place to walk, especially on Sunday when everyone is out. The hotel has some cool history that the front door man shared. It's quiet and breakfast is cooked for you instead of a buffet which is really good but don't be in a hurry. Room was clean and fairly new.

Nice staff, big room and great location
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Some facilities like elevator are a little bit old. We were probably the only 2 guests in there so enjoyed some kinds of VIP service. The staff are nice even though they couldn't understand much of English. We used Google Translator a lot. The room is big and neat. It was a little bit cool as there is no heating in it. It was not a big problem for us. The staff were very helpful and tried to cater us well. Hotel location is close to the center of old town so walkable to the Golden Museum, Plaza Bolivia, etc. We enjoyed our stay.

reat location, great staff
This is a great Hotel in the La Candelaria area - a few mins walk from the main pedestrianised calle 7 street with the main square and gold museum in one direction and the student area and the old part in the other direction. Felt very safe, room very large with massive comfortable bed. Staff really helpful with suggestions of what to do and allowing us a late check out before our flight back to england. good breakfast as well

Great service and amazing coffee!!
We stayed for two nights in a room at the front of the hotel, it was extremely noisey so we asked to move and this was done whilst we had our breakfast with no fuss or bother and the second night was perfectly quiet, the hotel is clean and the breakfast ample plus the coffee was the best I had tasted in Bogota if not Colombia so thank you!
