I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, and while it was a decent experience, it didn’t quite meet the high expectations I had for the brand. The lobby bathrooms were disappointingly dirty, which wasn’t a great start. The hotel advertised ice machines on every floor, but in reality, only one floor had one, and it wasn’t working. The room also lacked the minibar that was supposed to be included.
Parking was a significant issue. The lot was very small, and with maintenance equipment filling the underground parking, it was tough to find a spot, especially if you arrived late at night.
Breakfast was underwhelming, with very limited options to choose from, which didn’t live up to the usual Holiday Inn Express standard.
On a positive note, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. However, given the brand’s reputation, I expected more from this stay.
