The proximity to an MRT station is definetly this hotel’s biggest attraction, the location close to the new Thompson East Coast Line allows guests easy access to the rest of the city as well the ION Orchard Shopping centre.
The service is good and the cleaners do a great job when they come by, however at the beginning of our stay it would take until even 4-5pm before the cleaners would reach our room despite us spotting them three doors down the hall at 9 am.
Breakfast is good and feels like you are getting your money’s worth, staff members like Ben, Amy and the Chef at the egg station are incredibly hospitable and always greet guests with a smile.
This brings me to my only negative with our stay, we had booked a room without breakfast included accidentally and upon check in paid to have this included. The next morning we went for breakfast and they couldn’t verify this so we waited ten minutes for them to check. This was fine as systems take a moment to update, so we didn’t think much of it and staff apologised for the wait: however the next morning it happened again, and then again, and then again, and then again on the last day of our stay. On the last day they even tried to argue to say it was a deposit for the room and breakfast had not been paid for even though we had eaten breakfast there the past four days. Only upon another ten minute wait and me having to go get the manger at the front desk was the confusion resolved. Other than that no real qualms with the JEN.
