"My recent stay at the Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica, nestled right on the beautiful Playa Matapalo, was truly fantastic. The all-inclusive experience here is top-notch, delivering both luxury and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere with incredible value. The all-inclusive concept is seamless. It was fantastic knowing everything was taken care of, from the wide variety of dining options to the drinks by the pool. The thoughtful minibar service was a great included perk—having the refrigerator stocked with several bottles of liquor and a selection of refreshing beers made the stay feel truly premium and convenient without any extra charge. The room accommodations exceeded expectations. I especially loved the jacuzzi in the room, which was the perfect way to unwind after a day in the Costa Rican sun. Dining was a highlight, and while the resort offers several great all-inclusive options, the Italian restaurant was definitely my favorite! The food quality and service there were exceptional, making for a memorable dinner experience. Beyond the food and the stunning location, the staff made all the difference. Everyone I encountered was incredibly nice and helpful, contributing to a warm and welcoming environment throughout the resort. For a great blend of beautiful beachfront, outstanding service, luxury amenities, and unbeatable all-inclusive value in Guanacaste, I highly recommend the Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica."

"The location was comfortable and nice. All around good service and staff was helpful and friendly. This isnt neccesarily a high volume party location it had a little more of relaxed vibe to it. Beach was nice but again quiet which is nice if you just want to relax. Massages on the beach were very nice and affordable. Food waa good with a few different options would recomend for a nice couples getaway."

"Beautiful property right on Playa Hermosa. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean, spacious and a lovely view of the greenery surrounding the hotel and pool. There was some construction noise but we were there during the off season so not surprising. The hot tub was cool one evening but much warmer another. The area felt safe and calm. Expedia offered a 20% discount on a tour but the hotel only offered it for kayak/paddleboard rentals, a bit disappointing but the stay was otherwise fantastic. I would definitely return!"

"Such a lovely place. Low season and we had it almost all to ourselves. All the staff so friendly and attentive - Andrea, Sergio, Daniela - we felt like we were family - they greeted us by name, knew what wanted to drink with breakfast (which is included!), were ready to take care of whatever we needed. Food good - although a little pricey, but that is what you expect at a nice resort. There are a couple of places you can walk to (did for one lunch), but mainly just ate at their nice outdoor restaurant (has an air-conditioned section if you like, but we found al fresco rather enjoyable). Paddleboards and kayaks for a modest fee (we did the latter). Decent beach you can walk for a couple miles on, without much in the way of waves so easy to swim. And nice and warm water (late Sept). Howler monkeys, iguanas and birds galore all right there. And beautiful gardens. If you want to do a tour, while you are there, go with Freddy - he is amazing, particularly if you like wildlife. Did his rainforest and volcano tour - amazing and learned so much. His assistant Meme will get you set up. Pura Vida!"
