Very good location if you want a staycation in a different location. The staff from the front desk, housekeeping, touring (costa Rica Unique) and restaurant wait staff are all friendly and helpful. The property has multiple pools (2 are affinity pools), four places to eat (there’s the main restaurant with the bulk of the meals and nightly entertainment - DJ, different bands/groups, Junkanoo players during my stay; there is also the Chinese food restaurant, Colibri for more formal dining with a reservation, and a bar like casual food place by the beach for alcohol and reserved chairs to view the ocean. It is not a luxury establishment but it is clean and comfortable. Do not leave food items open or you will get ants immediately. The temperature ranged from 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit daily with a nice breeze (went in April). The food is average but some meals were excellent, possibly a different cook each day. Breakfast - scrambled eggs, French toast, rice and peas, plantains, yogurt, dry cereal, coffee, orange juice, sausage sometimes, cheese and bologna like meat sometimes. Lunch - burger and fries, snapper, Neapolitan spaghetti and dinner had a menu of snapper fish, Beef and sometimes pork chops. There were several other options like a ceasar salad and chefs salad. The shrimp cocktail appetizer is nice. Tips are welcome and shared among the wait staff. They will assist you right away if you gave a tip before. They aim for your enjoyment. English is spoken. TVs in Spanish.
