A great local guest house which offers delicious breakfast and dinner with low prices.
Around 10mins walk from hotel to Yuzawa Nakazato ski area. The hotel also offers shuttle bus. Highly recommended if you're planning to go skiing or snowboarding in Yuzawa Nakazato.

8/10 Very good

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The rooms are fairly traditional, and therefore seem quite spartan to a Westerner. The room I was in had a small desk with a TV on it, but no chair; it had a mattress and bedclothes but no raised bed. This did make for a bit of an uncomfortable experience at times, as it's not something I'm used to.
If you're after a traditional Japanese inn, this is a good one, but I know I only had a vague idea of what that meant before I arrived, so Westerners - make sure you know what you're getting!
