The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and modern. The low stars is for the customer service, when we requested items we needed like toilet paper, towels etc, sometimes they would not be brought to us. Also the cleaning crew won’t come back later, we were told if they didn’t do the cleaning at the time they came they would not come back. At one point, after 2 days we asked for clean towels and were told laundry wasn’t done so had to wait until the next day. Service ruined the experience a bit but overall the hotel was in a close location to the beach and overall clean. I don’t think I’d stay again.

Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly, and breakfast was good. The location was pretty close to the beach and restaurants. Some negatives for this hotel were: no hot water in the shower, several buttons on the elevators didn’t work (including for the floor that we stayed on), and the lights in the stairwell didn’t work.

Formal Complaint – Hotel Atlântico Travel Dear Hotel Management, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hotel Atlântico Travel in Copacabana. I had previously requested that my minor son be included in my reservation, yet I was charged an additional R$750.00 for his accommodation, which I found extremely high, especially considering the quality of the hotel. Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing for several reasons. The rooms are old and poorly maintained, and the bathroom had visible mold. The elevators were not working properly, and on one occasion I waited approximately 20 minutes before having to take the stairs. This caused me significant stress, as I had a flight to catch and almost missed it because of the delay. The breakfast was very basic and, despite already paying for breakfast, I was also charged separately for an omelet, which I found unreasonable. Considering the amount paid and the overall quality of the accommodation and services, I do not believe the experience was acceptable. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will never stay at this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to friends or family. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and reviews these issues to prevent other guests from having the same experience. Sincerely, Fabrício Lima

First day that I got there I wasn’t able to do early check in after I had asked in advance and was told I could, I ended up leaving my bags in there storage which they charged go but at least I was able to leave my bags. Room was in terrible conditions doors was breaking in the bottom water would come out of the floors after showering, they provide room service two days after your check in so if you need a towel before the two days they won’t give it to you.

This place was not a 4 star at all! We arrived early I asked for an early check in and I’m pretty sure the guy just pocketed the money because he said it would be $300 reals in cash to check us in early versus showing us a rate. The beds literally just had 2 sheets on it and a pillow. Not even a fitted sheet and they had stains! The mattress was showing and so uncomfortable and incredibly gross. There was a roach that came out of nowhere and was on the pillow. We asked for a change of sheets that took hours for a response. We then received only another sheet and pillow. The towels were stained, one of the elevators didn’t work to our floor so we had to always wait for the other elevator. The room is small, we were so turned off by the cleanliness we didn’t even want to try the breakfast. I do not recommend especially for the price they’re charging, better off somewhere else. We even had another neighbour blasting music at 5 am. Don’t have any high expectations and be okay with feeling like you just got scammed for your money. Also, there’s reviews of people coming in at stealing from your room! Be aware we saw it after and were afraid to have our room cleaned out our entire stay.
