I can't say enough about the friendliness and help that Ty and Jacob provided us. The Cabana is cozy, well stocked and clean. Any issue that came up we were helped out immediately. There is a convenience store located about 5 minutes away walking and a restautrant/shopping area about 15 minutes walk away.

If you are looking for charming, reasonably-priced accommodations on the beach in Placencia, this is the place for you. I could go on about the comfortable beds, excellent housekeeping, and well-stocked kitchen, but what really stands out about the Village Inn is the personal touch offered by Jacob, the proprietor, and his assistant Tyrone. Both were extremely friendly and attentive to our needs, offering to drive us into town for groceries or to fetch them themselves. We had many conversations with them and got to meet Jacob's two lovely youngest daughters. These personal interactions really made us feel welcome, provided an insider's perspective on Belizean life, and made the trip particularly memorable. A few notes: First, the property's location is ideal--far enough removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Placencia, yet the town remains only a short walk along a path/boardwalk. Second, the cottages are not air-conditioned. The nights, however, were generally cool, and the room had fans. Third, with the windows open and the fans off, we could hear cars along the road to Placencia, which could bother very light sleepers.

Jacob and Tyrone couldn't have been nicer. Jacob brought us downtown for supplies and to the airport in his car, free of charge. Tyrone came by 2-3/day to ask if we needed anything. Fresh coconuts and good advice were provided. Our cabin was well kept, clean and literally 10 steps to the water. The cabins are at the very furthest from the hustle of town so it was super quiet and relaxing. Always at least a 10 minute walk to restaurants/shops but that was the appeal to us. We would def recommend staying here. Wish we could sit on the deck of our cabin all day and night.

We did not know what to expect in Placencia. This was the most enjoyable holiday I have experienced and the Village Inn was the cornerstone. Jacob went above and beyond our expectations. He answered all our questions leading up to the holiday, he set up our local flights and tours, he showed us around the village, picked up supplies for us, and provided anything we needed. His local knowledge and connections are invaluable. The staff is genuine and friendly. They cleaned the beach daily, freshened our rooms every other day, cut us down cocunuts almost every afternoon, and shared their local knowledge with us. Some of our favorite times were just hanging out on the beach sipping coconut water with them. In short, the Village Inn is a little bit of Heaven on Earth.

We enjoyed our stay here. Made use of the kitchen and ate our meals on the porch 30' from the ocean. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The manager of the hotel, Jacob, is the best! Super helpful and knowledgeable and just a really nice guy. It's nice to have the bikes to ride the short distance into town, as well as use of the kayaks.
