Great option
This is a good hotel for an overnight. Close by to restaurants, pharmacies. My room was in the front and there was some music but it didn't bother me. The front desk staff were very helpful.

Relaxing environment and great amenities
It is a beautiful property with many places to enjoy the thermal hot springs bathing areas. Very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your requests. The food is very good!

Helpful, Friendly and Welcoming
This is a perfect place to stay for your first night and last night if you arrive through SJO. It's a very short taxi ride after a long trip. They communicate with you by email during the planning and booking process. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. They were also able to help us get a rental car delivered directly to the hotel! Great coffee and breakfast is included to start your day. The rooms are comfortable and a great value for the price. The location is good too, and there are lots of different places to eat, depending on the type of experience you are looking for. If you call, you may speak to Mauricio, who is a very kind and helpful person. We also met the owner, Charles, who was very helpful to us on our first night when we arrived, and walked us to one of the only open locations to get a snack at that time of the evening.

Staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. Rooms and facility were clean and as advertised. A great location close to the airport too!

Great as a hostel, but I over-paid and regretted i
I went to this hotel in 2017 because my friend that lives in CR got me a deal and knew many that stayed there happily. I had a nice room that had a bathroom with shower and stayed there happily for a night. I returned for a night, uncomfortable with paying double the price, but the breakfast and airport transfer along with the good memory made it acceptable to book. I understand the owner has changed and I think the place would be great as a hostel and half the listed price. The water in the shared bathroom was cold in the morning. Manager had to go fix it, then it was finally on, but scalded me then I couldn't get it back on. I just took a cold shower because I had expected it from the other reviews. Cold water is fine if itnis a hostel, but I paid $64.98 for a shared shower, having a room right in front of reception, where I had to hear conversations, and a less than basic room. Next time I will stay at an Aibnb, but the owner should just change it to a hostel and cut the prices so the expectations are lower. Cute little historic building that deserves occupancy instead of being vacant due to bad reviews.

What a lovely find! This converted home is warm and comfortable. The staff was so helpful and kind, especially when I needed help with arranging transportation. Breakfast was delicious. I will definitely be back!

Quaint hotel with character.
Our plane was delayed, so we really appreciated the doors unlocked for us at midnight. A great breakfast in the morning by friendly people. The only drawback was a hard mattress.

Nice stopover after flight
We arrived late after a delayed flight, and the staff was very accommodating to our late arrival. They also offer car rental arrangements, though we did not opt for their package at the end. Their breakfast was very plentiful, we got omelette, fruit bowl and smoothie/coffee. Last but not least, they offered free taxi to the SJO airport.

Nice stay
Good place to stay. All the staff were very helpful and had good local knowledge of where to get some good food. Room and hotel was clean, maybe a little basic if had to critique it but was good enough
