parking at arrival was poorly communicated and did not give us actual parking stall number. hot tub pictured in ad was not there or accessible if it was somewhere. had to use one in the main pool area with kids running and yelling, jets did not work and was not hot. roads, sidewalks not cleared. room was ok. poor location of it however with view of the parking garage door. tv/box poorly set up in living room had to have arm extended straight up in order to change channels. 500 channels showing on guide but maybe 50 actually worked. had to figure out by selecting each one each time. couch very uncomfortable. Location of the building is central.

The Summit was a perfect location for our Covid-friendly vacation with extended family. The space was massive, so we had lots of room for family members to spread out. The amenities could not be beat, and it would have been a perfectly fine vacation without even leaving the resort. That said, the location is perfect for exploring (we went to Banff, Lake Louise, and Mt. Norquay, plus around Canmore). Service is a bit weird since the suite is in a condo building, and there were a few issues with the cleaning, but nothing that really impacted our stay. The information we were sent before our no contact check in was thorough, though we discovered that some of the Covid precautions included in the email were not up to date with what the resort was following. Linens and dishes were in plentiful supply, and I'm glad to have packed our own laundry, dish soap, and toilet tissues as these generally didn't have a ton stocked up in the room. As far as the Banff area goes, this is hands down the best bang for your buck if you're looking for a luxurious but affordable stay for a group. This was our second time staying at The Summit and we'll be back again for sure!

The Summit at Grand Rockies
Great unit at The Summit. Only two things that were a deal breaker for me #1 you can hear almost everything outside from inside the unit, the first morning we were woke up by someone’s iPhone alarm clock at 7am going off on n the unit above us, we could clearly hear the ring and vibrate on the table the phone was sitting on. Every door that closed creates the loudest bang, there were a couple families surrounding the unit where we stayed and it was early morning of slamming doors and crying kids, no consideration for other guests who might be at the same hotel to relax (we left our kids at home so we could get some peace lol, backfired). #2 there was no TV in the bedroom, like I said we were there to relax and rejuvenate, so we needed up making the pullout couch in the living room which wasn’t so comfy, pretty lumpy actually, but it worked. The unit is beautiful though, Kitchen is perfect size. The bathroom is pretty small, could use some hooks aside from the towel rack, to hang up clothes and wet towels, I had to put my stuff on the back of the toilet or on top of the garbage can. The bedroom was super tiny, the bed frame is way too big for the room, the frame sticks out 5-6inches around the base, couldn’t close the door because it stuck out too far. My husband smashed his shin into the corner of the bed in the middle of the night navigating back from the washroom. The ease of checkin was self checkin which was great, all instructions were sent the day before.

The property was beautiful. Wonderful stay. The actual building is kinda strange that the one building seems to be owned by 3 different companies. The front desk would not help us. We had to go down the street to the Georgetown inn to ask questions.

The room and pool were amazing. The parkade could use better signage to find it from the outside and once inside it could be easier to find your assigned parking stall. Also, when we tried to find a luggage dolly, there were never any available. For the size of the suite we were in, a larger garbage bin would have been nice. Also there is no recycling container for cans and recycling.

The check in was weird. Had to check in at another property even though our front desk was open. The room was very nice however we were on the main floor. Our patio was in the parking lot and we had a maintenance truck parked in front of place from 8 am until 6 at night. We heard jack hammers going most of the day. The parkaid door was broken and could not us the underground parking. My wife and I don’t get holidays very often and finally go away and we’re looking forward to enjoying our day hiking and then relaxing on our balcony I requested. However that did not happen. We are leaving today. I stayed he before and had a good experience. I did not this time. Thanks

The property was nice, has a high tech shower and king bed. The king bed was too big for the bedroom door to close though so it needs to be left open. Parking was confusing and although we were assigned a spot, it was taken when we got there so we had to find another spot to park in. Check in was confusing as the property is managed by 3 separate organizations. The codes we were provided for the pool and gym were not the correct ones. There was no grace period for checkout and we got knocking on our door right at 11 and the service staff was rude and demanded we leave right away as people were checking in at 3 (weird because we were given a check in time of 5). We only needed 5 more minutes to pack up so we didn't appreciate the lecture which took away time from us actually packing up. The TVs and the remote in the gym do not work. The slide in the pool and the hot tubs are really nice amenities. The property is also in a good location, within walking distance from many restaurants.

The apartment was clean but otherwise very disappointing. The view was terrible, looking out onto the side of the building and exhaust vents from the swimming pool. It was quite run down, worn furniture, missing cabinet doors, etc and the bed was very uncomfortable. We won’t be staying here again.

Nice ammenities but really cheaped out on the TV and floors were really scratched up. Electrical was poorly done with poorly placed outlets and switches for lights ( bedroom light switch was over by the front door). Shower doors dont close getting water on the floor and subsequent water damage to the flooring by shower. Great rain shower/ steam shower with radio though. Couch isnt very comfortable

Horrible!!! elevator was out of service slider to room.had to come walk to the other side of the Parkade and front desk to try and find a luggage cart!which which was found,So I had to vary all the careeand go back all the way to our o and we never ever did see a luggage cart, Upon arrival the dishwasher was not empty it was full of dirty dishes second of all the corner cupboard for the Lazy Susan did not have any cupboard all the beds were uncomfortable I can understand a little with the pull out bed but the bed in the bedroom was worse so on this trip I had to sleep on a pull out bed when I had a full queen size bed to myself,When would you would pull out the hide a bed it seemed The the whole hide a bed would have came out flying at your head the it was horrible to pull out and it was horrible to put back in the floors were disgusting upon making The hide a bed sofa when putting it back together underneath the couch there were kids toys Cheerios and a wrapper for some sort of food and in the main bedroom they had a horrible bad that I don’t know what it sat on top of but whatever it was if you try to sit on your bed it would slide out from under you and you land on your butt none of the dressers or dresser drawers were washed out, And half the cutlery was dirty the washing machine stunk and we found let’s just say women’s clothing in the closet I was looking forward to the spa shower that every time I spoke to somebody

Stayed in Room #407, was an amazing space with lots of room for us (2 adults, 6 kids). Hot tub water was murky but since the pool was closed we were glad to have it. Would definitely book this suite again!

2/10 Poor

The bed, pillows, and extra linens were covered in long dark hair and the sheets were not washed. There was a used dirty sponge under the sink and no clean ones. The floor was filthy all over the suite. The shower was covered in the same dark hairs from the bed. The suite was next to the garbage room and the banging was loud and constant. No TV in the bedroom, living room tv was very small and the mount could not be adjusted so it remained pointed down and tilted at an angle. The bedroom had only 1 accessible outlet far away from the bed. No desk telephone. Washing machine crusted with powder detergent and dirty. Parkade was so dusty my car looked like it had been abandoned for weeks after only 2 days. Would never stay here again.
