Never again
We had to go 300m down the road to check in, when got in there was no facecloth, hand towrl, dish cloth, tea towrl, plug for the sink or a remote for the tv. We got 2 facecloths. There was something in the carpet that pricked my foot. The counters were all dsmaged, the light and the heater didnt go in the bathroom. Advertising 50 sky chsnnels, no sky remote. 19 channels which included the radio anf Plus 1 channels. Very sub standard.

The location on a busy road made for a noisy poor night's sleep, the lights from the street made it through the curtains also contributing to poor sleep. Clearly not much use of the motel - room was musty. It was clean however and good parking. Like many Wellington motels was pretty tired in terms of decor, check in and out was annoying - no one on site, had to another motel - and call to get a number for the lock box to get my key. There seemed to be a lot of random people/cars at the motel not associated with people staying there which made me feel (single woman) not particularly safe. Maybe it's being used for emergency accommodation as well? It was hard to tell.

The service when I went to check in, although I was early, the reception was locked, this was at 1 p.m., and when the door was opened, the cooking smell was unbearable. The person was talking on the phone all the time while serving me. The room itself was clean enough, and the sheets, towels etc were laundered, but there were attempted repairs done to the unit, and not finished, the furniture was damaged, mirror in the bathroom someone had engraved an X from corner to corner. Mould growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. The main bed had no spring support, so it felt like you were sleeping in a hole.

The property had not been serviced properly upon our arrival. No towels etc. Few utensils in kitchen. Curtains were hanging off rails. Had to walk three properties away to access keys. Parking, location excellent. Rooms were spacious. Furniture and bedding were very good. Overall, we found the motel suited our visit. After speaking with the manager, our room was well serviced.

By far the worst motel I have ever stayed at in my life. My advice through some $$$'s and it and actually provide some service- the reception- office set up is confusing and the rubbish in the garden it felt like Calcutta...

The motel unit we were in needs to be cleaned from top to toe - specifically doors, walls and the shower. There was a strong, overpowering perfume smell in the unit. It permeated all our clothing and belongings and was awful. The place has potential - bedrooms upstairs are huge, its in a great location. It is just dirty and very tired. Service on site was non existent and had to collect key from another motel up the road once I phoned to find out what was going on.

Do not stay here. Old and needs a total upgrade. Location was difficult to find. No sign outside. No reception. Reception is 100 metres up road. No Sky TV, No coat hangers, no ironing board or iron. No hand towel or tea towel. No WIFI - or notice of password. No room service. No information in the room There is a lot more. Room amenities claimed on the Web site are not met and totally misleading. Paid and book for two nights - checked out the following morning.

No name on motel or instruction on reception door or website booked through that you need to check in at completely different motel. Luckily a staff member was at motel for us to ask. Advertise Sky but not available otherwise room large and comfortable. Would stay again. Good price. Plenty of parking.

Reception was 100 metres at another property and no notification of that fact. Room stank of some sort of cleaning fluid. Sky TV was advertised but not available. Bathroom not maintained. My recommendation is to avoid at all cost.

When checking in no reception on the property no notice or anything. Rang their phone number and was told they didn't have reception on property that we had to check in at their other motel down the road. When we went into room it was smelly and dirty toilet broken and no sky tv as advertise. Rang back again and complained. Lucky we we upgraded to the other motel and that was a lot better. Settlers is not what they advertised and would not recommend we will definitely not return. Is nothing like advertised.

2/10 Poor

Unfortunately, other than the exterior, the rest was really REALLY unpleasant! The cleanliness of the unit was appalling. The floors had not been mopped for quite sometime, the grime on skirtings stood out like a sore thumb, carpets were badly stained and dirty, surfaces hadn't been wiped for who knows how long, and there was a really strong damp/mould smell in the unit. The furnishings were really worn and stained and really dated, the bed was incredibly hard and uncomfortable and, I woke up with some kind of bites all over me (either fleas or mites)!! In addition, the room was really cold and there was 1 very small heater to heat the unit AND, only the coverlet on the bed and no additional blankets in the unit to keep you warm especially in winter while it is raining! On top of all this, I struggled to find the motel as there wasn't a sign for it on the road and when I did arrive, there was no one at reception (despite being within office hours). I phoned the motel and was told to go to another motel further down the road as they run all 3 on this road. Had I arrived via taxi, I would have needed to cart all my luggage 50 metres in the pouring rain with a foot injury just to check-in. Lucky for me, I had a vehicle so just drove up the road to them and back again. However, this is inconvenient and there is no instructions prior to booking making you aware of this.
