Amazing
The hotel rooms are a little bit dated but it was very spacious and comfortable, especially after a long day on the slopes. The Onsen was beautiful with an outside area to watch the snowfall. It’s a convenient location with only 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and the free snow shuttles stop right outside the door.

2/10 Poor

Never again
Dirty and old. The caravan type bathroom smelt awful (like sewarage)and the bed covers hadn't been washed in a while! Water in shower scalded my back, thank goodness it wasn't a baby/child :( Told reception staff and showed them the burns but they couldn't care less. Breakfast was just ok. Not good value for money at all.

Nice Quiet Hotel
Great hotel to stay at, not too far from the main strip of Echoland. Shuttle bus to the snow fields from the front door. Staff were fantastic. Always eager to please.

Comfortable hotel with convenient shuttle services
Comfortable for small or large groups. Breakfast is good. They offer plenty of shuttles to get you around hakuba with the stop being just at the front of the hotel. Ski hire in the hotel is decent. Walking to echoland is about 15 mins which seems longer in the freezing cold.

Japanese service!
Tucked away at the end of a street in echoland, this little gem delivers all that's required for a snow getaway. Buses directly to almost every resort stop at the front door, good hotel facilities that provide comfort and an exemplary service team led by the manager. The manager was so helpful and attentive to the guests with no request to big or small.

Great Service
We stayed here for 2 nights in February 2016. Service throughout the hotel was great, the staff attended to our every need including taking us by shuttle to a ski rental shop and to the ski lifts. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from restaurants, but there are shuttles that run regularly. Note that it is not possible to walk from this hotel to any ski lift, there are scheduled shuttles each morning along with the hotel shuttle upon request.

Clean, great staff and reliable staff.
Tucked away which makes getting out randomly a bit expensive. Breakfast food was lacking and bathrooms are tiny.

Great stay and great snow
Located at the end of Line 6, Oak Forest is within easy access of the slopes at Hakuba. We booked a Japanese traditional style room with futon, which the staff stored during the day and takes out before the evening. The tatami room was super clean and quite comfortable. Our room rate included breakfast, which was frankly average, and did not include dinner. We had dinner one night in the hotel which was also quite average. That the food was less than impressive is more than made up though by the on-site onsen (hot spring) which provided nice relaxation after a day of skiing. Also, the hotel is a 10 minute walk to Echoland, a strip with some restaurants and shops, offering better fare than the hotel itself. Overall, we had a very nice stay, a good ski vacation and was able to do so at reasonable cost with Oak Forest.

Place grew on us. Would stay there again.
We were unsure when we first got there but after a week the place grew on us. We would stay there again. The rooms are good, clean and basic. The onsen is nice. Staff was friendly. It met our expectations. It was an enjoyable week. The location was better than a ski-in/ski-out place because we could chose depending upon the weather and our moods which mountain to go to and then take the correct 20-minute shuttle right from the hotel's front door. In the evening, the hotel ran a shuttle directly to whatever restaurant you wanted to go to, near or far. If we ate at Echoland, we would walk back (a nice 20 minute after-dinner stroll). If we ate over at Happo-one or in town then we would take a taxi for about 1200yen. The hotel also picked us up from the train station and dropped us at the bus station. The hotel had good recommendations for places to eat though once or twice we should have made reservations. The breakfast was a disappointment but passable. Some good bread but I often didn't eat the plated eggs and meat. The bath was a typical, basic Japanese unit bathroom. Clean and functional like the rest of the room but not fancy. One reminder: Please folks, wash with soap and water before entering the onsen!

well priced hotel with easy access to ski resorts
I stayed here with my teenage son. It's in a quiet location yet just 10 minutes walk to bars and restaurants in Echoland. Helpful and friendly staff with some English. Hotel has bus stop at door for shuttles to Happo-one, Happo47 and Goryu etc. Staff are happy to take guests in hotel shuttle to Happo information Centre to catch other shuttles for Cortina. Also they will run guests down to get rental gear if required.Rooms clean and comfortable. Hotel has its own onsen which is great for apres ski soaking. Mostly Japanese guests with a smattering of foreign guests. Good place in all. I would stay here again. Reliable wifi.

In Hakuba
Very disappointed; No aircon; screened window poorly installed; my face and arm were badly marred by mosquito bites in my sleep- needed medical attention, 5 days later face still swolen. Never to return to this hotel or in Hakuba nothing to do.... I made a very bad choice.

Great location, value and service
Stayed here for a week on a ski trip. This hotel had clean, comfortable well priced rooms. The breakfast included in our room price was western style and high quality. Echoland restaurants and shopping are an easy walk. At least one English speaking staff emmer was at the front desk at any time and was very helpful. I have no reservations in recommending this hotel
