4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Florence

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Florence is during January, February, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those keen to immerse themselves in the city's rich history and culture, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This duration allows visitors to explore iconic landmarks such as the magnificent cathedral, renowned museums, historical churches, and striking monuments, as well as enjoy the scenic river views and vibrant shopping areas. Travelling during these months offers great value for money, making it an ideal choice for those on a budget.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Florence on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com could keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. Through the Smart Shopping feature available in the app, you can compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you stay updated on availability and potential price drops, making it easier to book a spontaneous getaway.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable option for your stay in a hotel in Florence. For those interested in distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more favourable rate.
  4. Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier, but thanks to Florence's superb public transport connections, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit further afield that remains well-connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less-trafficked neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
