Cordis, Auckland by Langham Hospitality Group
"Always love staying at the Cordis for the great Club Lounge, amazing buffet breakfast, relaxing heated outdoor pool/hot tub/sauna/steam room/ice treatment, well-stocked gym and absolutely divine treatments! Once again, the cordis did not disappoint, even charged my car on Valet parking. We will return over and over again - our only hotel choice in Auckland."
Heartland Hotel Auckland Airport
"Quick check in Great staff Great restaurant Wonderful room Very convenient"
Hotel Grand Chancellor Auckland
"Rooms were very clean, staff were very helpful. Location is great, right by a lot of bus stops and food."
Hilton Auckland
"The harbour view room was spot on but I did feel the bathroom and balcony were a bit dated and in need of total re-doing. The luxury of a harbour view should be matched with a bit more luxury in the room perhaps? Breakfast buffet was OK - no wow factor here though. Staff were the absolute highlight of the trip, friendly and helpful"
JetPark Hotel Auckland Airport
"Early morning flight,comfy bed,good shower,airport bus,friendly staff,oh & carpark if you need.....Food options good."
Grand Millennium Auckland
"The room is so clean and I believe the house keeping crew did an outstanding job. I can see a garden from the hotel gym and I was impressed with the effort made. The conceige (James) was very helpful as well on how to work things through with the car parking. The pool was quite crowded because of the public holiday. Bed was nice and soft. Comfortable seats in the room. I would return to this hotel."
The Grand by SkyCity
"The hotel is located in a great spot, the room was clean and a good size, and pretty quiet. Would have loved to have seen options for recycling in or near the room. My only frustration was the breakfast, it is a good spread but I don’t recommend it for vegans. Many of the options I normally see at a hotel breakfast had animal products , including the coconut chia, sautéed mushrooms and the sourdough sign indicated it contained egg. The fruit options were good, and there was cereal and toast so we were all good. Long story short, it was fine, but for the price, I’ve definitely had better."
Pullman Auckland Airport
"The room was very well appointed with views of the airport. Te Kaahu Bar is a very nice, relaxing place for drinks. The location is exceptional, being within easy walking distance to the airport terminal"
Holiday Inn Auckland Airport by IHG
"It was great and close to everything"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Auckland
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly time to visit Auckland is from May to July, when hotel prices typically drop. For those looking to make the most of their stay, spending at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city's significant landmarks and cultural attractions. During this time, visitors can explore the bustling port, enjoy diverse shopping options, visit fascinating museums, indulge in delicious dining experiences, and take part in informative tours. With friendly locals, striking monuments, and the unique presence of dormant volcanoes, Auckland offers great value for money for those on a budget.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For travellers heading to Auckland, Hotels.com may offer hotel deals through its DealsOpens in a new window section, where discounted rates might be available on nearby hotels. Checking the Last-Minute Deals section could reveal savings for spontaneous trips, while enabling email alerts or push notifications may help you stay updated on flash sales. Additionally, using the Smart Shopping tool on the app could help compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you’re more likely to spot a discount or a room becoming available in the Auckland region.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may differ depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year. Being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in an Auckland hotel. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels may provide a more personalised service and potentially offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the pricing appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more economical dates to help you find a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels located near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Auckland's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel situated further out that remains well-connected. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
