The host was very friendly but our room needs a deep clean & an update of furniture, carpet, settee. We chose the honeymoon suite; the toilet & shower really needed a deep clean.

We have just spent 2 nights at Roseroc. We had a lovely room with balcony over looking gardens and super views of the lagoon. Kevin was a great host and most helpful in restaurant and things to do recommendations. The breakfast was very good. The ‘Roseroc poached eggs were divine’. The was a glass of port and little shortbread biscuit waiting for us on return from our dinner, a lovely end to the evenings. The guest house is walkable to the waterfront but we got Ubers back with no problem. We would return again if back in SA.

Kevin and Cornell were the perfect hosts. Room was great as was the bed. Each evening we came back to a glass of port and some fruit…lovely touch.

Unhygienic and unsafe feeling!

This place have ants and carerpillars in the rooms. The kitchen was dirty and we couldn’t see our self eating breakfast there. Overall the place felt unhygienic. There was also messy around the keys, and it took them a while to even find a key that fitted the door, but still with a doubtful safe solution. We didn’t feel safe to leave our things in the room and leave for sightseeing and dinner with that defective locking systems. The one thing that was good was the view. We left without even opening our suitcases!

A MAZE ING

We booked Roseroc for one night at the last minute based on reviews and we were NOT disappointed. Kevin, our genial host is a mine of information. He suggested a great restaurant you could walk to although we drove and other interesting things to do.The breakfast was fantastic. We recommend the "Roseroc" poached egg. I will try to recreate this at home. We would not hesitate to recommend Roseroc. I'm not sure quite how my wife found this little gem nestled away but she must be amazing too.

An absolute Rose of a place amongst many thorns

Such a pleasant location in a beautiful place we’d go back in a heartbeat. Everything about Roseroc was fantastic. Kevin was a wonderful host and throughout our stay we had excellent service, whether that was the lovely touches in the evening of port and chocolates, or advice about places to go and restaurant recommendations or the fabulous breakfasts, we had a wonderful stay. Nothing was too much hassle, the hotel is closely located to everything you’ll need and it just made for a very relaxing stay.

A fantastic accommodation with such a lovely host. The view from the house is amazing and the host is so sweet - giving a lot of advice on what to do, what to eat etc. Every evening we got a small evening snack and on Easter also an Easter chocolate at breakfast. About a km from centrum in an area that felt super safe walking around in.
