We booked a large room and got a small room. Paid $50 more for the large room. Room was full of stains on couch and floor. Bathroom door didn’t look like it had ever been clean. Guy at hotel desk said manager would call me in a couple of days to deal with the over charge. Never heard from them.

Anyway staying at Prospect and was okay for the price it was great they are missing a couple things that are very very important I can't stress this enough on summer nights do you need air conditioning not in one room or the other room and all the rooms they need little things checked like the bathroom fans, and other than that I can't say much more everything else was great for the price

While not fancy, room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. An economical option if staying for an extended period and a good set up for preparing your own meals.

4/10 Fair

Your standard questions really don't apply, here, for the Prospector Inn was not a typical roadside inn. From the outside, the place appeared run-down, as if closed for business: peeling paint, broken pavement, weeds, gravel parking area, poor signage. The entrance, as such, led only to a series of corridors, clean and painted brightly white, several signs pointing, past a cold drink machine, to the closed "Office" door. I rang the bell and was pleasantly greeted by the owner (?), who checked me in and showed me to my room, which was clean, but spare, with up-to-date kitchen appliances. Stains on the sofa. No air conditioning (on a very hot, sultry August day), but a fan that helped bring cooler evening air inside. Modern, clean (but small) bathroom. Fast wifi, once I figured out how to connect. (Several "Prospector" sites listed and I seemed to have to search at random to hit the right one!) Perhaps better suited for someone needing a longer-term stay with kitchen than for a room for only a night or two. No public amenities other than that soda machine along one corridor. No "public" spaces inside, just the rooms along those bright, white corridors!

The room was not well prepared compared to most sites for the cost. No air conditioning, no coffee, ants in the bathroom, no dish washing stuff except soap, no towels in the bathroom or kitchen, reception was some employees room. Places needs to up their game.

This place is way beyond my expectations. The units are huge, brand new, clean, comfortable, bright, with full kitchen and essentials. There's a livingroom and small table & chairs. The price is amazing and long or short term stays are offered. If you're in KL, this is the place to stay.
