My recent stay at Hôtel Baudelaire Opéra was quite disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the property felt more like a hostel than a hotel. The ambiance was lacking, and the common areas were far from welcoming.
The room was a major letdown. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, with sheets that felt like cardboard. It was so stiff that it felt like I was sleeping on a hard surface rather than a bed. This made it difficult to get any rest, which is the last thing you want when traveling.
Additionally, I felt uneasy about the hotel’s security policy. I was required to drop off my keycard at the front desk every time I left, supposedly so they could “keep track of guests.” This policy made me feel more insecure rather than reassured about my safety, as it’s not something I’ve encountered at other hotels.
Overall, my stay at Hôtel Baudelaire Opéra was far below my expectations. Between the uncomfortable bed, the hostel-like atmosphere, and the unsettling security measures, I cannot recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a comfortable and safe stay.
