Staff at the hotel do a good job of performing their core duties, however there is no disguising that this was once a holiday resort that has now been repurposed as a basic business hotel. There is no swimming pool as website falsely shows. Beach club needs some investment and has 20E daily charge - so 80E for a family of 4 per day - no exceptions for hotel guests. Rooms and bathrooms need to be refreshed. Breakfast needs extra chef to cope with demand and menu expanded. Plus points, good location for shopping, and train station that allows you to get you out of there and lick your wounds wishing you had booked elsewhere if your intention was to relax by the pool.

Hotel has good vibes but not close to public transport nearest bus stop was about 7mins walk. Room that we stayed in was an average, needed updating. We booked a guided tour of French Rivera with hotel but when we were picked up, we were told this was different short tour. We did get our money back but that means we had to spend more time to visit the area which would have been part of the original tour. Not sure where was the comms failure. We left it with hotel to investigate. Otherwise, it has been pleasant experience. Hotel does offer private beach facility with Baystar beach club from 10am to 6pm.

We stayed here to be near the hotel and thought we could on the beach for a day before leaving. We ended up going to Nice. The hotel is so old & run down, smells like mold, ect. We never stay at Holiday Inns—but for Catfished big time by their images. Stay at the Sheraton—closer to airport and much nicer.

There are a few reasons I wouldn’t put more stars at the hotel. First is the hotel main photo is advertised with the sand beach and chairs. The MAIN REASON we chose this hotel is because it “doesn’t have” the rocks on the beach. To our surprise is that it cost 20 euro per person to use it. And for a kid too. That wasn’t specified anywhere in the remarks. If we knew the price we would go to this hotel. Second we almost got “pick pocketing” by employee. We left some ice cream in the lobby freezer and my sister and her kid went downstairs to pick it up. I stayed at the balcony while waiting. So she went to the receptionist and told them she would like to take the ice cream. The receptionist “sent the other employee “ (I forgot his name but I think it was Fredrick) to bring the ice cream to her. While I was at the balcony I saw the employee storm inside our room and he was looking what we have on the table and night stands. There was a wallet on the night stand and he picked it up and shook to see what’s in there and was about to open it when I walked inside and asked “what are you doing ? “ he said he didn’t speak English. So I went downstairs to talk to the other guy and he said it was a mistake and miss understanding. The manager wasn’t there at the time and the next day we just got a letter apologizing and was misunderstanding. I even brought the small wallet downstairs to show where he was about to go in and asked if needed we can get finger prints to prove it. HORRIBLE
