Staff was fantastic and very accommodating. I was a little surprised about the pet friendly hotel. I do suggest giving owners and pets their own floors to use. The barking was horrible but it wake my kids up a few times. I tried to change rooms but the other room had a terrible smell. I decided it was best to stick with the maybe barking night. Rooms were little rundown and needs some upgrades especially at $200+ per night. Overall was a pleasant experience-the staff definitely made the experience better.

I have to say the staff at this facility is top notch. My grandchildren were swimming and their floaties needed to be inflated and while we couldn’t get it done the staff went above and beyond to try and help me. I WILL BE staying here again no doubt

Carpet and couch was a bit dirty. The bed was very comfortable. It took a long time for the water to get hot. The internet went out for a few hours my last night there. Everything else was really beautiful. The staff was very nice, even the overwhelmed late night lady who didnt see me standing there and couldn't help me anyway. The first young man & the the young lady who checked me out were super helpful and kind. The food was ok. Basic and dry, lots of options though. The location is perfect! Id choose it every time

Customer service was not good 3-11 and the overnight in the morning when checking in and out. I stayed at this property numerous times in the past and the cleanliness was not its best. Room was outdated for it to be a 1 bedroom suite.

And back from attending a wake. Next door had screaming infants at 11pm . Being a parent I understand that. But it continued with loud adult voices . They were drinking as we saw boxes of empty liquor bottles and dirty sheets outside the door . We gave it till midnight and realized they weren’t going to stop so I called front desk and was told gather our belongings and go to desk for a new room Went up to 2 nd floor and new room smelled as if it was used by a smoker so we went down again for another room . This was made difficult as I had recent shoulder surgery was In a sling . We had 3 bags as well as large carry bag for dress clothes as we are In Town for a funeral. We finally got to sleep around 130am . When we got up to shower and dress the room did t have a hair dryer. They sent us one to the room and it was broken and wouldn’t turn on . What? No hot water!

I was annoyed by two things: 1. The phone in my room was not working, I mentioned to front desk but was never resolved, 2. Hot water wasn’t working the evening I checked in, the morning of the next day and that same evening. I had to microwave hot water in order to bathe my body. We were inconvenienced but not compensated at all.

This is not a typical hotel. People live there on government funding. This place feels very unsafe. I stayed one night out of the seven I booked. Honestly I wouldn’t have stayed the first night if I wasn’t exhausted from driving from Florida. I left immediately the next morning and went to a hotel in PA. What I witnessed when I pulled in the parking lot were a large amount of people hanging in the parking lot, blasting music coming from the basketball courts this hotel has and coming from cars people were hanging out in. And a drug deal. The hotel smells like vinegar and dead rodents. I was extremely disappointed, these type of hotels should have to disclose that they except government funding so paying customers have the opportunity to make the choice to stay there are stay at an actual hotel. Don’t be fooled by the Marriott name they sold out to government funding

Overall, I had a good experience. I’ve stayed at a Residence Inn before but this was my first time at the Bishop’s Gate location. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. The breakfast was good with great options. My room was clean. The pool seemed like it needed to be cleaned and/or treated but other than that, no complaints about this hotel.

Pros: rooms are very spacious with great amenities. Kitchenette was well stocked and clean. I traveled with 3 children under 10 and the staff and atmosphere was very welcoming. Cons: Breakfast options limited and not adequately stocked. Tub was broken making it difficult to bathe children. Fire-pit was broken And towels weren’t replenished- no housekeeping.
