Amrâth Grand Hotel de l'Empereur

Swimming pool was very welcome in the heatwave. Breakfast options were a bit limited but staff very willing to assist. Location to train station excellent as well as to good restaurants & food spots. The air conditioner wasn’t working but the hotel quickly changed us to another room & the next day again to the same type of room that we booked. Rooms were spacious with lots of space for a family of 4.

The hotel was lovely and in the perfect location for the couple of days we were there. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke very good English which is always helpful. The food was also pretty good, particularly the soup we had in the restaurant on the first night. Unfortunately the card machine for the rooms was not working so the staff had to accompany us to our room. No fault on the staff and they handled it brilliantly. The room was cosy and had great views. Only feedback would be that the bathroom looked a little tired and the bath drained really slowly. Otherwise overall a very delightful stay.

perfect hotel to stay before a business meeting or exhibition

A solid hotel close to the railway and an easy walk into the old town. I appreciated the kettle and the fridge in the room as I chose not to have the breakfast. I did find the bath very narrow and I am not a large person.
