Not an idea stay.
Very close to Belize International Airport. Property is very outdated, beds aren’t comfortable, window unit AC that barley cools and area let along the room unit. The shuttle from the airport was actually an employee/resident who uses his person vehicle to pick up guests. You have to take a small boat 50 yards across the lagoon to get to the property, and there is no restaurants are anything on that side of the property so therefore you have to take the boat back across the lagoon, and have the transportation to take you to get food or general dining and shopping, and that comes with a surcharge. The property does not have a restaurant, nor a pool. It’s very remote. But the host and hostess are very nice and friendly.

Beautiful river, flowers and wildlife but the property is in bad condition and unsafe. Rotten wood on one side of the patio of my cabana taped off with warning tape. Inside there was supposed to be a king size bed but instead there was the filthiest mattress on a smaller dirty torn box spring. Between the terrible bed and worry about the water bugs crawling about I little sleep. The oven didn’t work, we asked for a toaster it didn’t work, the original microwave didn’t work but they replaced it with one that did. This was supposed to be a beautiful 50th anniversary weekend but turned out to be the worst week of my life. My husband is sensitive to making people uncomfortable so I couldn’t speak out about my feelings and had to make the best of a hopeless week. To top it off we were taken to the resort by boat so getting anywhere was dependent on the resort. Three dogs lived on the property and had the freedom to sleep on the sofas in the main house lounge. Not everyone likes dogs on the furniture. If there is a place I will upload photos of the bed which I found out the last night is unsanitary 😩 I’ve been itching since I left.

It was very beautiful with so many animals and birds around. The staff was very easy to talk to and pointed out what there was to see. The breakfast and water was delicious. The games room needed some work on the pool table, darts and movies.

This resort is close to the airport but on the far side of the river. The facilities are clean and more than adequate perhaps because the resort is listed for sale.There is no restaurant on site and the staff is a little skimpy.

The employees treat you love ke family right away, very welcoming and happy to see you. Mario and Chantel would come knock on my door to show me monkey's,egrets, and (almost) a crocodile! Word of warning tho - if you are outside at night make sure you have bug spray! I got mauled by bugs!
