Booked this room to take one of my medical boards since I was traveling from out of town instead of staying at a reg chain hotel. The inn is charming, gives historical southern vibes. Check in was easy other than even if you select pay upon arrival they’ll try to charge your card beforehand, if it declines they cancel the reservation. Thankfully for me this wasn’t the case for me, just FYI you may be charged beforehand. Kathy was nice and helpful when checking in! I had a king suite with a balcony, really enjoyed the aesthetic of the room but the walls are VERY thin, stayed next to a couple. I believe if you can see where I’m going with this (: could also hear everyone in the hallway. There’s no fridge/microwave so just be mindful of that. I couldn’t store any cold food or water I brought. My bathroom door didn’t open all the way from getting stuck on the vanity and the magnifying mirror wall mount was broken, didn’t have hot water either. There’s no lock on the windows to the balcony (huge safety hazard). Only 2/4pillows had pillowcases on them;wasn’t sure if this was a decor thing? And blanket had some stains. The info binder in the room also mentions breakfast, this isn’t a thing. There’s no bar either?
All in all it’s a beautiful inn and I enjoyed my stay. Remember it is *definitely historical*. The staff is very friendly. I just think they could do better with maintenance and housekeeping. Oh and my room was super cold, but that was probably the ghosts (;
