The location of the hotel is great, it’s right across the street from the beach! The view from the rooftop patio is also mazing!! However the room, common areas, and breakfast are not ideal ( at least not for an 4 star hotel) Our room was clean, but it needed updating, and maintenance. This is a lovely hotel in a perfect position located at the southern end of Copacabana and 5 mins walk from Ipanema. We've stayed here twice and would always come back. We booked the wrong room on the second booking and the guys on reception did their absolute best to find us a the best room they had. I would strongly advise paying the bit extra for the sea view and generally to be at the front of the hotel. The cocktail bar on the roof has an amazing view along the beach

The staff was courteous. The room is ok old hotel slightly remodeled. There are many items needed improvement in the room. Shower room has missing piece of tiles, plug in outlet loose came off the wall, etc…The only reason I booked this hotel base on outdated pictures outside and inside. The balcony on the 13th floor is nice. You can capture good photo of part of Copacabana beach.
