Worst Marriott I’ve Ever Stayed In

This was by far the worst Marriott I’ve ever stayed in. The room was dirty, which was shocking for a Marriott property. The walls are paper thin — I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms, including loud conversations and TVs until after midnight. I finally had to call the front desk just to get some sleep. To be fair, the staff was kind and responsive, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness and terrible sound insulation. I expected much better from a Marriott-branded hotel. Would not stay here again.

I had such high hopes for this hotel so I was disappointed that I couldn’t give it a 5 star review. It’s a nice hotel overall but I found a bunch of hairs in the tub when i went to shower- that was disappointing. It was otherwise sparkling clean & the front desk person was very apologetic when I told her. The food in the hotel restaurant is meh. The gym is surprisingly nice & well-equipped. The front desk staff is kind & accommodating. So, it’s good but not great.

Great Staff

I always stay here when I fly into Norfolk late at night. The staff are always welcoming, from the shuttle bus through the front desk, down to Lauren, who runs Starbucks and serves breakfast. My only problem with my room, was that the floor was incredibly sticky, which was a bit uncomfortable; especially because I din't know the source of the stickiness.
