8/10 Very good

The Inn is located on a beautiful piece of land that looks out on marshes and water that leads out to the Chesapeake... just lovely. The hotel itself is charming and close to being a great experience. The trees and bushes on the property are beautiful. There are a few things they could do to help the place feel a little more polished. First of all the staff was pretty much non-existent when we had questions or wanted to check-out. The staff that was there was friendly enough when we checked in, but weren't visible the rest of our stay. Another issue was the lack of sound-proofing between rooms. Not sure what can be done about this and it wasn't horrible, since most people went to bed on the early side. But we could definitely hear the tv next door and the people's conversations in the hall. Maybe something could be put under the door to help with this last issue. The rooms that faced out to the water were definitely more desirable and had nice balconies. That would have been wonderful. Instead our room faced out to a "tennis court" that didn't have a net and was in such bad shape it can hardly be called a court. They should either repair this or get rid of it and plant a garden. The current state is unusable and an eye sore. The breakfast was also not amazing... hard boiled egg, deli meats and fish paste... hmmm. The location of this inn is also a bit out of the way, but a wonderful destination if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the Chesapeake.
