Funken lodge
Our stay fantastic, the room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The temperature of the room was too hot and although we turned the thermostat to the lowest setting we still had to keep a window open. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us including organising trips and taxis. Richard and Cristobal especially. Every member we of staff we came into contact with was very friendly. The only drawback about the hotel is the hill leading up to it! Breakfast is good and hearty with a good selection to choose from. We dined in the restaurant one evening and we personally found it a little overrated. Food was good but basic, for instance the king crab was served on a bed of lettuce. We would recommend staying there because of the staff, but probably would stay more centrally next time

Short walk to shops and resturants in Lonyearbyen. All our daytrips did pick-ups at the hotel. Only wish the gym was a bit larger and better equipped. An outdoor hottub or sauna with the good views could have made this A+.
