I read good reviews on Casa Mia, and not just from the Expedia website, hence the reason I stayed here. I upscaled my stay with the premium suite for the outstanding ocean view. What I didn't know from my research, was how intense the noise would be from across the street!
The staff were friendly, and the hotel secure and clean. The hotel location was close to restaurants, Playa Principal and the Night Market. I am slightly under 6', but my feet would overhang on the bed. The shower water would take a few minutes to heat up, while the air conditioner and the fridge worked well. The view from the balcony was spectacular, and the hotel pool was refreshing.
The noise prevent me from getting deep sleep. I am happy that my last two nights in Puerto Escondido were spent at another hotel in Rinconada where I had two super quiet nights that yielded in deep sleep.

8/10 Very good

I liked the cleanliness. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The amenities were in good condition. The building was safe. The service was excellent. The hotel in itself was excellent. The only things we didn't like was that the church in front of the hotel rang their bell very loudly, every day at 6:15, 6:30 and 6:45 in the morning. It woke us up every day at that time. We couldn't stay out late because we knew we would be awoken early in the morning. For this I would recommend to bring earplugs. The second thing that was just okay was the location. It was not close to the touristy locations. You either have to walk 20 minutes to get to Rinconada or take a cab to Zicatela or La Punta.

Property was very well kept.
Everything was excellent and staff friendly and helpful and available.
I would say the only draw back to this property is it is on a hill with many stairs. But this is a common situation for most hotels in the area, the price for the beautiful beach views.

Very clean, nice property. Centrally located. Pool well maintained. They provided a 5 gallon bottle of water for the guests to use that was really nice. The owners were very helpful with anything you might need. Very safe too. They were very responsive to emails prior to us arriving. Glad we stayed at the Hotel Casa Mia and it is highly recommended.

We LOVED our time at Casa Mia. The staff are so nice, and the place was impeccable. They were cleaning all the time!
The location is great, very close to Bahia Principal, and we often walked down the beach to the Zicatela area. But at night we were far enough from Zicatela that it was very quiet and we could sleep with the windows open.
I also loved that they use soap dispensers instead of plastic shampoo and soap bottles.
There is a great rooftop and office space upstairs too.
Would definitely come back!

Great place to stay.
Incredible architecture - the while building looks like a ship. Amazing views of the ocean! The pool was cool.
The room was big and very comfy with a good air conditioning, We had a large bed, couch and TV. And even a small kitchenette with a great blender and toaster. It also had plates, cups, silverware, dish soap and towels. We were able to have breakfast overlooking the ocean without leaving the room!!
The location was very central, a bit noisy with all the traffic behind us but manageable. Easy access to taxis to other local beaches in Puerto Escondido. Very unique place!
