Nice, overall
Overall I was pleased with our stay at the hotel. I rated it a little lower in cleanliness because there were black hairs all over the bathroom. My husband and I are both strawberry blondes.

great place
This was our second stay at this hotel and we always are pleased. The front desk is always helpful and pleasant. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. We would definitely stay here again!

It was nice. Very quiet. Not mush of an ambience do you Covid the bar area that you see in the picture is closed. It was the reason we picked the hotel. Other than that it was fine.

Good 6,0
average at best
It was okay. Not a 4 star merely 3. It was clean inside the room. Pillows were a bit stiff. The bathroom was more luxurious than the room. Outdated furniture!

Overall pleasing, could be cleaner in a pandemic
I rate my overall stay pleasing, the condition and comfort of the room were great, but cleanliness and service were just okay. In terms of cleanliness, there were a few hair strands left in the bathroom (shower and stained towels) from the prev guest, and there were places in the room that obviously had not been dusted in a while. These things normally wouldn't bother me so much, but in the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a sense of uneasiness that arises when you think the room hasn't been thoroughly cleaned. In terms of service, the night security guard is fantastic! The man at the front desk, however, was not the friendliest and I felt mislead on the parking situation in terms of the price of parking in the garage vs on the street overnight. (FYI, parking on the street overnight (~11 hours) is $45. You're right in front of the hotel, but it's not secured. Parking in their secured garage is just $10 more during the pandemic).

A great stay in Chicago
Quiet and comfy. Those are two things I look for in a hotel. Next is the helpfulness of staff. The silversmith rated 5 stars for me in these areas.

5 star Hotel and service. Can not be beat.
If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The service was top notch. They took care of all of our needs and wants in a very friendly open manner. The building was rich in history and very clean. There was an air purifier and the water including in the shower was purified. We had a fridge, safe and coffee in room as well as a separate living space and bedroom. The staff was very knowledgeable in the best places to eat and never disappointed us with the suggestions. The Hotel is centrally located you many great places to see. This is a must stay if you are heading to Chicago. I will definitely stay at this place again when vacationing.

Fair 4,0
Location was nice, but upon pulling up to the front door there was no one there to greet us or explain what the process was for checking in. I read the sign on the door and buzzed the buzzer. Someone came out and I told them I was there to check in. When I asked about parking I was then informed there was no parking for guests and I could either try to wait for a spot on the street or drive down the street and park in a public parking lot. When asked how much parking was for the day they didn't know and when asked if we would be charged a flat rate for the day or if we would have to pay each time we left and came back, again they did not know. It would have been nice for the staff to be a little more informative. Even check out was unpleasant. We checked out early in the morning and I asked the attendant if she wanted the room cards and she motioned to just lay them down. I understand COVID precautions, but she could have been a little more respectful. Will not be returning to this location. Not worth the price or inconvenience.
