    Great service. Rooms need refurbishing.

    The staff at this hotel provided exceptional service. They were truly great. Although my stay was comfortable and I enjoyed a great view from my room, I must say that the room was quite outdated and didn’t reflect the brand Intercontinental, which is known for a touch of luxury.

    Average rooms but great location

    Great location near restaurants, shopping, and main attractions. Excellent service. Only stayed 1 night. Quiet hotel but maybe thats because of covid. Breakfast was good. Great views. The rooms are average which was a surprise since the hotel is expensive. Pillows are awful.

    Not impressed!!

    I was initially very pleased with the lobby, it wary impressive. My room was very small for the price I was paying. When I booked the room it was quoted at 159 average a night, well that price was only 3 days of which I stayed. The weekends they doubled the price of the room!!! even though I had a reservation for two weeks. I left the hotel and stayed somewhere else for less and more space and better view. I paid close to 2000.00 for 7 days and they couldn't even comp the minibar!! I am 6'4" and the shower was 6'3" lol.. I was hunched over for a shower. The restaurants are over priced as well compared to other hotels as well and didn't taste nor provide that extra "something" to let you know why you were paying so much for so little. Overall, I should have done a little bit more research before staying there. The weekend price gouge is out of control!! Not worth the money

    It is a magnificent hotel, beautiful , elegant foyer and entrance, great views from the rooms, comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms and thankfully, free internet. However, every other extra is ridiculously overpriced. It may boast a great gym and pool, but just to use the pool cost 4000 yen!!! The towels were substandard ... that was a surprise - I would expect plush towels in a hotel of this calibre. The minibar prices ... yes, minibars are always expensive, but the 30ml gin cost the same as a 750 ml gin in the shops! I had dinner at Karyu on a Saturday night. Service was very good, meal was ok, dessert was lacking even a garnish ... lychee sorbet.... just 2 scoops in a bowl ... really just thrown in there! At around 9 pm I was told last orders, and i had the impression from then on that things were rushed - my second glass of wine was poured in on top of the unfinished first glass! In the end, because of Intercontinental's exorbitant overcharging for what is included service in other high end hotels, I would not stay here again.
