The staff were kind but the room was terrible. The shower wouldn’t drain and flooded, and then towel rack fell off the wall. We used the hotel hair dryer and it blew a fuse and our room went dark.

Great location, not the cleanest.
The moment I got to my room after checking in I went to take a shower and there were hairs in the shower like it had not been cleaned along with soap scum/mold in the shower.

Great location, budget friendly
The hotel is in decent condition but very basic overall. While the cleanliness was commendable—with fresh towels and clean bedsheets—and the location unbeatable, the experience left much to be desired. The receptionist was professional but lacked warmth, offering no smiles or small talk. The room itself was small, dark, and unwelcoming, particularly on a chilly day with temperatures at 4°C. The biggest drawback was the noisy air conditioning unit. We had to turn it off overnight, leaving the room uncomfortably cold. Amenities were minimal, with only basic Dove soap provided. Breakfast was equally sparse, with yogurt and coffee being the most appealing options. If you’re staying for just one night and prioritizing location and budget over comfort, this hotel may suffice. However, its lack of warmth and amenities may make longer stays less appealing.

The room was above the night club below... it hit really loud about 3am when the bar let out. Other than that it was good for the price .

Two Days in Vancouver for The E Street Band
I was in town for a couple of days to see Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. I got what i needed here: a comfortable bed and a short walk to Rogers Arena and the train to and from the airport. Its nothing fancy, but I don't need to be pampered at a hotel when I'm on vacation.

Nice staff and very accessible. Will stay again.
I will start with the nice parts. Reception was so warm, welcoming and friendly, recognized me everytime, very prompt with dealing with issues and generally made the stay a cheerful one. Allowed me store bags both pre check-in and post check-out. The sheets clean and fresh. Free breakfast inclided. The hotel is very centrally located right in downtown and very easily accessible to anywhere by public transport. The not so good parts are that the hotel is old and fixtures are quite out of date. The lift is jerky. I was surprised to see the bathtub in the bathroom which didn't have an extractor fan. Also the room was dark even with all the lighting on. There was a damp smell in the room. The breakfast was disappointing as I expected to see hot and savoury food like fried /scrambled eggs, bacon, omelettes etc but it was mostly pastry, yoghurt, cereal, tea/coffee and juice. Very impressively, when I reviewed my check-in and mentioned the damp smell, this was very promptly attended to and an air purifier brought to my room. Alshough this stay wasnt 100% for me, due to the location and the very cheerful front desk, ill stay again.

Not that clean
The room was very dirty when we moved in, with long black hairs everywhere. We didn't like that there was no proper sheet on the duvet; it felt unhygienic.

Pretty Good for the Price
A comfortable commuter hotel. Looks and feels like it used to be a studio apartment building and was converted into a hotel. The rooms are compact by US standards, but they’re comfortable enough for a few nights and breakfast is included.

Average enough for no photo.
The hotel is 100 years old. The rooms are small and reflect the age of the building. Overall my experience was better than another hotel in the area.
