It was close to the airport. It was in a quiet, safe neighborhood and had an excellent view of a beautiful little lake that you could walk to. They served breakfast which was very good. They do not serve dinner but have options you can choose from and they order it and have it delivered. We had the romantic suite and loved the charm mixed with modern.

Excellent choice of hotel near JNB
Really charming small hotel with pretty gardens near JNB. Clean and comfortable room with helpful staff. Handy shuttle to and from the airport. Breakfast is a choice of muesli & fruit or full hot English type breakfast. Other meals are ordered in from local providers with lots of interesting and delicious choices.

The room was very spacious and comfortable and the staff is wonderful. The airport pickup was very smooth. You may order food from a menu and the pizza I ordered was delicious. I was unable to get online from my room and was told that was due to my using an iPhone. So I would warn those staying here who have iPhones/iPad: IF you need/wish to be online privately, Wi-Fi may not work from the room. It does work from the lobby. Otherwise it is a lovely place to stay for the price.

My room was like a renovated medieval Tuscan villa. From the beautiful stained glass door entrance and charming decor to the spacious bathroom, there wasn't much to not like. It had nearly every necessary amenity. Some special features included an electric blanket to keep warm and a good book to read (I was sad to not have time to finish it). Ample lighting and charging stations. Soft towels. The service was just as excellent. From complimentary pickup and dropoff from/to the airport, to the woman (sorry I didn't ask her name) at the front desk making me a breakfast fruit bowl and yoghurt for dinner to providing an umbrella for the rain, the level of service did not go un-noticed. The only minor inconveniences were the key/keyhole to the entrance were tricky to use (thus getting wet in the rain) and there was no elevator. The driver that picked me up seemed to take an unusual route before getting to the hotel, but no problem. The price and value of this stay would be hard to beat.

This was a beautiful surprise. The property is gorgeous and the rooms are too. The beds were very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pool could use a cleaning to swim in but other than that it was perfect!! I highly recommend this charming guesthouse!

Nicolene is extremely helpful. She assisted with our rental car arrangements and had the car delivered at the guest house. We arrived late at night and she arranged for fresh sandwiches to be in our room when we arrived since the kitchen was already closed and dinner was not an option. We will stay here again. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Quirky, quaint & unique place!
Definitely different but I fell in love with all the uniqueness about it. Stain glass windows, cool doors… too much to write. Beautiful grounds… wonderful service. And the beds had full body heating pads! Nice for this time of year. And an honor bar to help yourself….

Airport Tower Lodge is a small boutique-type hotel near OR Tambo and made for an excellent one night stop-over. The suites are large, comfortable and clean and are managed by a group of people who care about your stay. The home-cooked meals were delicious and fairly priced. We would highly recommend and will plan to stay again ourselves.

A home away from home summarizes this property perfectly. The hotel is quite small and feels like a tranquil oasis, while being located very close to the airport. The hotel serves both dinner and breakfast but it has to be ordered in advance, the food was quite good. There is also a bar available 24/7 based on the honour system. The staff are friendly and inviting and the owner is fantastic. We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet balcony room which had two balconies and an enormous shower. I would highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in Johannesburg!
