I stay here for a few times but this time the check in staff seems not really friendly to me. She insist to speak Mandarin, just because she saw my passport is Hong Kong? But honestly my Mandarin is quite bad, even I reply in English, but she seems quite assume that I am able to communicate in Mandarin, so I give up and use my bad Mandarin to communicate with her. And her attitude is the worst I encounter in my Japan check in experience.

I was very mislead when booking this hotel. We had booked this hotel due to the photos and reviews but when checking in, the room was disheveled, carpets lifted, broken fridge door, chipped hangers and an unhealthy amount of dust in the room corners. To sum it short this hotel is definitely NOT worth the price, you are much better off booking another hotel nearby.

Customer service needs more work
The room and the checking in process was perfectly fine. There were amenities available at the reception for people to pick up which was a nice touch. Location was ideal. The downsides were that I had messaged the hotel a number of times prior to checking in about having my luggage sent to them from Kyoto and heard nothing back. When I asked reception to help me book a taxi to take me to Hakata International Port, they tried 2 numbers and was unsuccessful so told me to find one myself, not the customer service I was expecting for a hotel where it seemed to pride itself on providing excellent service.

Room was toooo small. Customer service was quite curt and minimal, we were actually pointed to a vending machine to process our own payment. At arrival time, housekeeping was in full swing and aisle to room was cluttered with trash, vacuums and housekeeping gear. Not the best nor friendliest welcome, and front desk “couldn’t find any reservation under [my] name.” Not what you want to hear when traveling to a foreign country.
