From 1st appearance you may think you arrived in 19th century wild west but step in the room and its comfort city. Looks and feels like its newly refurbished. Has pool, 5 min walk to free hot pool, smart tv, polite owners and tranquil grounds. As a hotels.com gold member, this is well worth a stay. True hidden gem.

Terrible place! The place is not what it looks like in the photos. The photos must be 10years old. The place is run down. A backpackers would be a better option. There was old blood stains on the bedding and the mattress. The carpet have not seen a vacuum or a clean in a very long time.

The place is fairly run down, but I understand new owners have just taken over. The reason we booked here is because it is pet friendly. A lot of motels in Taupo are not. We were only there to sleep, so on the whole the experience was not too bad. The place does some potential to be tidied up.
