The Ungcheon Beach Park is a beautiful beach close to many posh apartments and upscale resorts in Yeosu. Facing Jangdo Island, this beach is a favourite for sunbathers looking to spend the whole day catching some rays in a lively environment.
If you’re bringing the whole family, the Ungcheon Beach Park has a large playground and plenty of picnic tables. After lounging on the sand, you can enjoy a nice lunch under one of the large trees.

Sindeok Beach lies on the northeastern coast of Sindeok-dong. It features a stretch of soft sand with areas along waterside docks designated for fishing. After a scenic drive to this beach, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the wonderfully tranquil seascape.
Since this beach is a bit more remote than others, only 1 bus goes there from central Yeosu. With plenty of rocky shores, Sindeok Beach is a great place to watch powerful waves crash. It's only a few steps from an inlet with sandy shores for sunbathing and calm water for swimming.

The Manseongri Black Sand Beach is one of the most unique beaches in Yeosu. It's along the northeastern coast, just a short bus ride from the town centre. This beach consists of dark-coloured sand and pebbles, delicious fresh seafood restaurants, and thrilling water sports.
It's the only black sand beach in South Korea. As the sand is known for its healing qualities, this beach gets quite crowded during peak seasons. Make sure to head there early to claim a spot on the sand or later in the day to enjoy a peaceful walk along the water.

Mosageum Beach is a great option for those looking to beach-hop and explore the coastal shores near the city. Thanks to its long shallow shore, this beach is a great place to bring small children and enjoy a full day by the water. A local bus can take you to this beach, but as it only comes a few times a day, it’s best to get there by car.
