The bar got its name from its history of serving sailors who swam ashore from their anchored ships in need of some refreshment and entertainment. Depart from Virgin Gorda to private Peter Island, where you can begin the 8-km Sunset Loop Trail. Trek through patches of trees, cactuses and grassy hills. You need to be fit to join the hike, as the breathtaking view comes at a price: the last 2.4 km are pretty steep. At the top, you’ll find a picturesque view, perfect for a snap. Relax in the colourful chairs and enjoy the delightful pinky hues of the sun setting over the islands. Preferably, set out on the trek in the late afternoon so you can head back in time for dinner.
