The grounds are beautiful, the staff are pleasant, patient and helpful. property is under renovation so there was an increase in dust. The room environment would be of better quality if they had dehumidifiers to remove some of the damage causing moisture. It affected my breathing; they immediately cleaned the room which improved the irritants in the air. Onsite restaurant food was good.

Very relaxing, good food at hotel, very nice gardens, and creek to sit by. All staff friendly and wanting to help. Use a google translator, if you have difficulties with an outlet in your room to charge necessary devices.

Stay at Hotel Dos Rios in Volcan
We stayed 2 nights. The staff were all very friendly, although very few of them spoke any English. The accommodations are rustic, with the basics but comfortable. The grounds were spectacular! Plants, flowers, shrubs, trees, the whole place looked so nice, even when it rained! Overall, we were very happy and we would stay there again.

Great place but be careful with the restaurant
Incredible grounds! Have to see to believe. Comfortable, recently updated, clean room and bath. Attractive common areas and restaurant. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was included but only a few items available. Restaurant had good, internationally-oriented food with good service. BUT I ate ALL my meals there during my 2.5 days in Volcan and had two bouts of serious intestinal distress--a problem I did not have during the rest of my Panamá trip

The rooms and gardens were nice. Staff was friendly. The restaurant was average. They never had fish even though it was on the menu. The Italian food was mediocre. I think they should offer free coffee and tea to guests, for what we paid (approx. $100/night).

Absolutely not worth the money
It is a very, very outdated hotel. The room was smelly. No English spoken. The breakfast a dismal. Nice garden, though. $98 for this place is ridiculous.
