Resort was nice looking in lobby , once you get to room, not well taken care of toilet seats werent the proper size absolutely filled with mosquitos, beds were missing legs. The food was awful except for the jerk chicken stand by the pool. The crew and staff were helpful and nice but i can only assume that other resorts were much better maintained and cared for. We spent most of our time at the hard rock hotel because we werent able to fully enjoy ourselves at Riu Republica. I would not be visiting again or referring anyone.

Had an accident here 10/28/2024 do to a broken glass in the edge of nightstand in the room. My room number was 2129. I called and got help but the doctor onsite was nowhere to be found. When they found her the hotel doctor was extremely rude and laughed when I told her I have anxiety due to all the blood. The manager was also nowhere to be found and they have not solved anything in the room until the next afternoon when I had to speak up again. Broken glass is still here. One of the front desk people was very helpful by the name of Loly she apologized on everyone’s behalf but she was honest and said the manager was home. I have not gotten medical assistance since the doctor and nurses said I do not have insurance here and the hotel won’t pay them to take care of me. That she has to refer me to a clinic that she knows the people but I will have to pay her. It’s a foreign country so initially didn’t think it was as bad as to get stitches so she got angrier and wrapped my arm in gauze she also said that if I want alcohol or new gauze to ask the front desk people. When I spoke to Loly the next day she apologized and said she feels bad that they don’t even have alcohol at the front desks and the doctor was obviously lying. They sent security to check out the room and they found the cracked glass but said they will have an answer for me by the end of my trip. Not sure what answer they’ll have. I felt very unsafe since my new room 3057 also had cracked glass edges and left early.

Disgusting! Worms in the food, outlets not working to charge phones, power went out and they made wait a day to change room. Ariel and Ricardo are the worse workers. Very petty and mean . My room was ready they made me wait because I was upset! I would never visit such a disgusting and dirty resort ever again. I was sick for 4 days. Very poor and racist resort. I regret picking this place to stay! My first time visiting and I would never go back

Key Cards always ends up not working, Ac Not working, awful sewer smell, bedroom had insects and and bed sheets were not cleaned properly. Tv in bedroom was damaged to a point where it was useless to watch. Not planning to return to this resort. Beach was beautiful tho.

In overall everything was good. The quality of the cocktails the mix and not premium liquiors. The ambience nice and staff service excelet but hotel need a remodel especially bathrooms and elevatirs . Planta fisica . Nice green landscape and palm tree.

Bedroom wasn’t updated was given burned blanket, front desk appeared to be standoffish and unwilling to assist especially if you were black American no matter how nice you are being. Music selection wasn’t as diverse as it should have been..

This was the most dirty resort ever, one evening there was human poop 💩 all over the stairs. All public area was dirty and young group of people drink every where. Also there was people smoking marijuana every where. I will never return here or recommend anyone to stay here.

Let me start off saying, I stayed at a RIU resort in Jamaica and my experience was totally different from the location in the DR. My friend and I are currently here and have been disappointed the entire trip. Our room has not had A/C the entire time we’ve been here. I’ve submitted 10 request over the past three days and the staff is just closing out the ticket without fixing the problem. We even went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room and still wasn’t moved. We are literally waking up and going to sleep hot and sweating. The room also has ants so I spent the first night being bit. The plates at the restaurants aren’t clean and some of the staff are using their bare hands to prepare the food on the buffet line. Something was floating in the drinking water also it smells like sewer on different parts of the resort. No face towels No straws(have to put your mouth on the cups) Dingy towels Dirty pool Now me and my friend both have upset stomachs and diarrhea and have a 4hr flight home. The staff at the front desk is very rude and don’t care about go customer service. We sat in the lobby for 2 hours waiting to speak to a manager. The manager never came and they kept making excuses. The security at the gate wood not let out driver in and we asked the front desk rep to call up there and she stated “I’m not call the gate, walk” I will NOT stay at another RIU Resort after this experience. This resort should not have a 5 or a 4 star review. Trip type

El hotel es increible, la pasamos espectacular. Solo sugiero que arreglen la cañeria pues en algunas zonas hay un olor muy fuerte. Por lo demas estuvo super, excelente comida, show, actividades.

You receive exactly what you pay for. If you're seeking a lively time at an affordable hotel, this is the ideal spot for you. Just ensure that you shut the balcony door, or else the AC won't function properly. The cuisine may not be top-notch, but it's not as terrible as some claim. There is a slight sewer odor in certain areas. The beach is stunning, though it can get a bit rough at times. The club, operating from 11pm to 3am, is absolutely buzzing. I had the chance to attend both the pink party and the beach party, and they were both fantastic.
