Delightful
The room, at the top of very steep stairs was delightful. The stairs would be a struggle for some people, but they do warn you when checking in, and offer to swap rooms if an issue. The pillows are not the best, too soft for those needing decent neck support. We didn't have breakfast, as at €18.50 felt it was a bit steep, and we wanted to find a cafe/patisserie for a light snack before heading out for the day

Disappointed as the property was advertised as a “Boutique hotel”. Our family room could not be classed as boutique ( we expected more for the cost of the room)! There was a lot of noise into our room through the ventilation ducting! We noted the bed sheets to one of the beds was mouldy, these were replaced after we brought to the attention of the management. The room was very warm, however there were fans provided to assist The positives are that the hotel is centrally located and has the pub below!

Great location
Fab stay but room was very warm and bright. We were in an attic room with a velux window we couldn’t reach to open or pull the blinds down on. Fans provided but they are very noisy so being able to open the window would’ve been better

Nice place with lovely staff.
Very nice and helpful staff. Comfortable room with large bathroom and lovely shower. The structure is beautiful and in a good location. Great recommendations from staff about where to eat and what to see. The only thing I would change is upgrading from “standard room,” which seems to mean attic with skylights only and whacky steep stairs to manage, to a room on the first floor (one flight up). It appeared that the canal side first floor rooms were probably fantastic.

We travelled using public transport, train and tram made staying at this hotel very convenient as only a couple of minutes walk from tram stop. Hotel is in a great location not too far from all the attractions or tram. Room was clean and plenty of amenities, nice coffee and a fridge with drinks at a reasonable cost. Staff at reception were very friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area.

Old building without elevator. Very steep and narrow stairs. To be fair they were willing to carry luggage up and down. Location was within walking distance to most attractions. Desk clerks were hit and miss regarding availability. We would not return.

This is a very nice hotel in the center of Ghent. An old townhouse remodeled as a hotel. The rooms are spacious and functional. The only drawback is the small bathroom (hence 4-star rating for facilities). The staff is very friendly, fluent in English (and probably many other languages), always available to help and to provide information. The hotel is located in the center of Ghent minutes away from the most important sites to visit in Ghent. Despite the location in the city center, we (family of five with suitcases) had no trouble reaching it using train and tram from Brussels Airport. Overall, highly recommended!

This hotel was nice but the location is not the best. It was exceptionally noisy, it’s under construction so there was a ton of people in and out, and the “close” parking was very far away. The lady working the desk was very nice and helpful and the rooms were large but it’s just not in the best location to really see and walk around Ghent.

Great, quirky hotel south of the Grote Markt by about a 10 minute walk. The room was no more than a very small bedroom, but fine for our use. Despite the size there was a closet and a small desk. The bathroom was really nice, fully updated and modern, with a shower stall (no tub). The innkeeper told us that a shortcut to our room was afforded through the Irish pub next door (fully accepted by the pub, just walk on through - or stop for food and drink... Fantastic food there by the way, and a fine Belgian beer selection, not just Irish ones!) If you want the standard lobby-hallway-generic room of modern hotels forget this one. There are stairs only as far as I know, and room size could be issues for some. But if character, quirks and a decent price are alright with you, give it a go!
