4/10 Fair

I stayed, at the above guesthouse in Cork, in recent weeks. On entering the room, the bed had a duvet on it. (Nothing special). I would have expected the sheets etc, to be nicely tucked in and presented. The chair in the room, also had a biro mark on it. I was very disappointed to see an obvious stain, on the bathroom ceiling next to the fan. For what, I paid, (breakfast not included), I was very disappointed and will, not return.

The location is perfect! The bus stop is right outside the driveway and the bus takes you directly to the train station and St. Patrick's street. Also, the breakfast is fantastic!

A nice option a 15 minute bus ride (or €12 cab fare) outside of downtown Cork. Clean room, lots of space (sitting room was nice), and good Irish breakfast made for a pleasant stay. Loved the comforter/duvet on the bed.

Old fashioned bed and breakfast. My first time in Ireland and I hadn’t had a traditional Irish breakfast. The chef said “you better have one before you leave.” Not disappointed one bit!

A little outside of town on a busy road. But the hotel is immaculate and our rear-facing room was quiet enough. Cork itself is a transitional town—would not recommend sightseeing there. But we were really just passing through. Nice staff, comfortable room.

Definitely recommended
Lovely older lodge, would be a 3 star in the Loire Valley. Generous breakfast, beautiful garden, easy walk to downtown, convenient for the airport. Staff are efficient, but not overly chutty (they seemed very busy - perhaps short staffed?). I would stay here again!
