Fantastic hotel with incredible views of the gardens from our room. Really comfortable beds, great nights sleep and spacious bathrooms. Quirky decor, excellent housekeeping and very friendly staff. Ample parking. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is set in this most beautiful setting, close to Stanton Park. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful in themselves, but the backdrop of the Park makes this hotel outstanding in my opinion. The location is why I chose this hotel. My room was small but adequate, the staff were courteous and helpful; the food was good and the atmosphere generally was very relaxing; will return.

A lovely getaway that’s conveniently near

A wonderful getaway in a beautiful setting, the rooms were a real bargain. We had a lovely time at the end of the summer season, which really capped things off. We’ll definitely book again! Thanks to the team for ask they’re hard work in keeping things running so smoothly.

A very lovely nights sleep. The bed was nice and comfortable. The ensuite also came with a great big bath, which was lovely after a long cold day driving. Ideal as a stop over when traveling far. Toiletries available - but you'll have to bring your own bubble bath.

Such a shame. This used to be a lovely hotel. Property location and surrounding garden and lake are so beautiful. The hotel needs a chunk of money invested into it to do up the interior to match. The entrance has been renovated but looks cheaply done and looks weird that it doesn’t match throughout. Friendly staff.

Great but brekkie let it down

Hotel staff great. Hotel room great. Breakfast however was buffet style i didnt complain but should have. 0830 ish went to breakfast. Bacon cooked crispy but luke warm sat on the side.sausages cold beans cold eggs greasy fried and cold mushrooms cold. Hash brown cold fresh toms grilled but cold. £12.50 if i was in a mellow mood should of asked for money back.

Reception staff was rude to our customers that we put in this hotel. Restaurant meal was poor and a foul smell in the room. Breakfast was not satisfactory for the cost. Service was ok but our guests were escorted to ensure a payment, not normal hotel behaviour. Will never use again for our international guests.

It looked good on the website but disappointing execution at the premises. It’s been designed by someone without any knowledge of how a hotel works. The reception entrance is at the back if the house where you’d expected entrance to be. The bar in the conservatory lacked any atmosphere, all draught beers were off, and the design was flat and uninteresting. However the staff were trying their best and were friendly too. The grounds provided a nice place to walk.

Disliked being given a room overlooking a rubbish dump outside the bedroom window. We complained and moved to a first floor room overlooking fields , sheep and a large pond. Lovely. We had to pay £10/day extra for this. Photo on web site misleading as entrance to Hotel at rear ( no grand entry drive as the photo suggests) Dining in school hall like dining room. Food good.
