Great resort for all
We ended up moving to the GR Solaris for the final 3 days of our trip because our last resort was a disaster. It was the right decision. Night and day. The GR Solaris was lovely, well appointed and in great shape. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

This is my second all inclusive i’ve been too and this one fell significantly below my expectations of a “5 star” hotel as advertised. Dining - Options are VERY limited because everything gets booked up so fast and you have to be awake at 7am when the slots first open to reserve any of the 3 dinner restaurants. You have to do so on the GR solaris app that you don’t even know existed because no one tells you anything during check in. Staff- Barely any of them spoke english and even asking a simple question like “which way to get to..” would take 20 mins to get answered and each person would say something answered. I understand that I am in another country but I should be able to ask these things at the front desk and get a quick response. Room- The room we got was an ocean view with balcony and was nice but could use a bit of cleaning. The A/C and all electricity would randomly stop working in the middle of the night and wouldn’t be fixed until 7am for unknown reasons. You can imagine how uncomfortable this might be in August when the outside temp is 85 at night. Overall, It was okay but I would not stay here again.

The first day was our last day. We prepaid for 3 nights. The first issue arose when we went to our room that night and the shower would not heat up. Then the A/C stopped working so we turned on the ceiling fan. Then toe pwer went out and the water was turned off. This was a nightmare. We had to find another resort and paid for the additional 2 nights we would be in Cancun. I am now trying to get a refund for this nightmare.
