Lynne, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Rooms are quite nicely appointed but they are on top of a very noisy pub in the city center. I wouldn’t stay there if I wasn’t with a man.

A great night and what a great pub downstairs with a microbrewery!!!!!
Mark, 1-night trip

This accommodation was above and beyond what I’d expected, the best value for money room I’ve ever come across.

We enjoyed our stay very much. This is a lovely pub with cozy rooms and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again.
Stephanie, 3-night trip

We had a great stay at the Turks Head, room was small but well appointed with a good shower room. Location was great as we travelled by train and it is right in the centre of the city, close to all attractions.

Very reasonable!!

Ideal location for the town centre. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice room and would happily stay there again. Very reasonable price for what you get.
Russ, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room and property were great, the room was too warm and the fan was useless. You couldn’t open a window due to noise

P and G stay 16th May 25

On the high street so no parking at the pub, lots of nearby NCP parks, used the App and got a discount for an overnight stay. Staff very friendly and helpful, carried our bags up to our room. The top two rooms (5 & 6) are not for the old or infirm, loads of stairs. Room (No. 5) was pleasant, bedding and towels clean, bed was comfortable with the windows shut there was no street noise. Didn't hear any noise from the bar which was open until 1am. Had a drink in the bar on arrival, typical city centre prices, but there are a couple of Wether spoons nearby. Bathroom ok, nice shower. Couldn't turn hot water tap off fully hence low eco-friendly score. Would use again.

8/10 Very good

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent- friendly and helpful. The property is old and quaint - not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as there are no lifts and the stairs are narrow, uneven in part. We stayed over a bank holiday weekend and our room overlooked the high street- it was very noisy till about 4 am one morning. The hotel provided ear plugs for such occasions!

8/10 Very good

It was nice, until closinf at 1am you could hear people, but given the location thats unsurprising in the middle of town
Oscar, 1-night trip

Staff were arm and welcoming and check in was easy! The room itself was beautifully decorated with all we needed. The fixtures, fittings and soft furnishings were all in top condition and beautiful. The shower was awesome and the products were lovely. Loved the quirkiness of the pub and room and would happily stay again.

Exeter's high street offers just about everything that mortal man could conceivably desire: pubs, cafes, outdoor clothing shops, shoe shops, a cathedral, banks, bookshops, homeless people, record shops, Turkish barbers. The staff of the Turk's Head were consummate professionals: the one who showed me up to my room offered to carry my suitcase, gave me a tour of the premises, and recommended their favourite ice cream shop.
Robert, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A really characterful pub right in the centre of Exeter, with lovely rooms above, all staff were friendly and the place was very clean. I would definitely stay again.
Paul, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I stayed on a Monday night, the room is wonderful, the bed is comfortable, everything is clean, and good attention to detail (including gluten free cookie at the side of the kettle). The staff are friendly and efficient. There are ear plugs and an eye blind provided, and no net curtains so you have to keep curtain closed for privacy (I was on the first floor overlooking the high street). There were random shouts and noise in the high street up until 3am - but it is a city centre location.
Fiona, 1-night trip

Wonderful city centre location. Limited interaction with the staff but the person who checked me in a showed me to my room was great.

Centralt hotell i Exeter

Mycket centralt beläget hotell bara ett steg från katedralen.

Bucket list item complete

Bucket list stay above an old pub. The room had lots of personality complete with crooked floors and funky tiling in the bathroom. Required a good hike up steep and narrow stairs, but staff willingly carted my luggage up and down for me. Attentive crew and flexible with storing my luggage after check out. Not for someone looking for ultra modern - this is a very old building, which is part of the appeal. Beside a popular part of town, expect noise. The pub itself was great, excellent service, pints and food.

A quirky find in Exeter

What a fabulous, quirky venue. We’ve booked and going back in October. Staff absolutely lovely, especially Anna. My tip is don’t book room 2 if you like to sleep with the window open, but otherwise all just lovely and near the train station too

A little slice of history

Fantastic little gem, in a beautiful historic building. Staff worked incredibly hard to welcome me and make my stay a pleasant one. Would definitely stay here again if I need to visit Exeter

Would never stay again and shpuld not be on expedia. I should not have to pay for this lodging as it was rated wonderful and good location which it never was I did not feel safe to even go out for dinner.

Very good central location. No dedicated check in so had to wait at the busy pub bar. Staff very helpful.
