Don’t Walk RUN!!! They stole my money & won’t give it back! To make a long story short I booked a stay at this hotel through Expedia. I drove from out of state and when I arrived, there was a group of people in the lobby receiving refunds. I waited several minutes to be checked in and when I got up to the counter I let the front desk know that I had a dog with me and they immediately got rude. I read the pet policy before Booking, even though a lot of it doesn’t matter to me because I would be traveling with a service animal. The guy at the front desk called the manager so I waited several minutes while they talked on the phone. Ivan was told that the manager said I could keep the dog but then wanted to make it very clear that they had all of these extra rules that were not on their written pet policy. They were extremely rude and made it very clear that they wanted to do multiple inspections of our room while staying there, and then, if for any reason, we left the dog unattended in the room, even for a moment that they would lock us out and not give us a refund. I told the gentleman that I did not want to check in. I felt very unsafe and very uncomfortable and felt like I was treated unfairly. I asked him if I could get a refund and he said that he didn’t have my money. Expedia when I contacted them said that wasn’t true and that the hotel had my money all along. Expedia says they cannot get a hold of them and the hotel will not give the money back.
