This was horrible. They took our money, and put us in the waterfront room we paid for around 6PM. We left for 2 hours and there was an outdoor party with bad noise masquerading as music going on upon our return around 8PM. We asked the hotel staff when it would end and they said at 1 PM. We told them this was unacceptable. They then offered to either refund our money and leave or take a substandard room that we found out had no hot water. We took the room as we had no place else to go.
And to add injury to insult, they offered us overvalued services in exchange, when they should have been offering us a partial refund.
And they blamed Hotels.com for their refusal to offer a refund, stating that
We paid a premium for the room and got far less.
I am filing a complaint with Hotels.com. We should have been offered a partial refund.
You should be wary of lodging with them.
